Thanks guys!! I had an assessment in one of my lectures today so didn't have much time to be nervous for this (was too busy being nervous for that! ) But now I'm getting a bit antsy. Just wish it was over and done with. :-\
new plan for me il be going to the interviews on march 21st for the year long program starting in september so if u all pass the phone interview u will be joining me hope its all going well..im sure ul all do fine
i applied in may 2006 and i go out august 28th so just before sept. i freaked after my fone interview because it was only about 5 minutes long! but i got through and will hopefully see some of u guys out there

well it took from may - nov to get interviewd for the f2f lol and i wanted to start august because it emant i could get a career break from my regular job so that wheni finished at disney i have a job to come back to and stuff. but other people have taken longer lol its just the way the luck fals - i know people who interviewed with me and said they could go out anytime asap and they arent going until september!!! when im there im going to be doing F&B which is what i requested because i wanted something that paid better than merch im afraid lol
Yeah when I had my interview today they asked when I could start. I told them any time after this June!
f&b get better pay but its harder work apparantly - i dont know as i havent done it yet lol to be honest i didnt care where they put me to wrk - i put f&b because they said they needed more people for that than merch or hrc - and i didnt really want hrc as its not working for disney its working for a seperate company and when i asked in the interview about the benefits of hrc v merch/f&b kim didnt really know any of them - i asked specifically about getting the main gate pass and the various discounts and stuff and she wasnt certain it doesnt really matter either what area u have experience in - i have about 6 years experience in retail and 6 months experience when i was 16 working as a waitress and they gave me merch. someone was on here ages ago with tonnes of f&b expeience and they got merch. i guess it really just depends on what they are looking to cover when they pick up ya form at the end of interview on what u get
Hi, I had my interview today, it went well I think but I was so nervous before and cause they didn't ring, I phoned yummy to see if they had my right number and arrange another time they just did the interview then. I said I'd be able to go out September too, giving me enough time to save a bit before I go. Lots of hidden costs: Flight to interview in Hammersmith on March 21st if I'm successfull, visa, program fees, criminal background check and then flight to Florida, phew. Think I'll have to get a 2nd part-time job. Just have to wait and hopefully hear back that I have a f2f. I've my fingers crossed for everyone.
