I know this is really anti disney.. But has anyone heard about the new water park thats opening in 2008 at sea world? Its called Aquatica! I saw a photo of what its expected to look like the other day in the florida 2008 brochure because i was looking for when my family come and visit.. There is a ride where you ride through tubes into water and there's dolphins and other sea life in the water that can swim over the tubes and stuff..It looks awesome..Think it opens around April-May 2008!
Aren't you only there for the summer program? It doesn't open till april 2008..They'll have probably only just started building it! haha..
it's being built across the road from sea world. it's a rival for the disney water parks. sounds cool though. just a piece of plastic between you and sharks!
When I was there last september all the land had been dug up ready to start building. Here are some photos I took from the Sky Tower.
Just checked out the website that Linsey provided. It looks proper cool. I might be tempted to come back to Orlando in '08 to visit you JohnBoy!
ooh i just looked at that website too! it looks really cool! im so glad i'm going to be there until june next year! i cant wait to see it!!
I heard about this in the sun about a month ago, and the best thing about it is that I'll be working as a UK CR when it opens so I'll be able to check it out. Also I'll be there for the grand opening of the Simpsons ride in Universal Studios and also (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one) for Midway Mania in Disney-Pixar Studios (name will change before the end of the year). And this is a blue sky project but there is progression in the new imagineering team bringing down the wand above SSE and also a river rapids ride similar to the one in disney's california theme park to be opened for the canadian pavillion in the world showcase sometime in mid 2008- early 2009. Plus a few interesting developments involoving 2 George Lucas-esq rides in studios due for updates, can anyone guess which ones ... Please remember that these are blue sky projects and not confirmed and might get scrapped.
It is due to open Spring last time I heard.. :-\ but you know universal there constantly late with things like theseĀ :. btw its replacing the back to the future ride.
That was my thoughts when I first heard it. Unless they pretty much tear down the pavillion and start from scratch, I can't really ever see it going past an idea.Another reason why there doing this is to cover up the view of the Soarin building which apparently ruins the view and themeing of the canadian pavillion
Well I doubt they'd have to re-do Canada as much as they'd have to tear down Imagination. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=...-81.55153&spn=0.002204,0.003648&t=h&z=18&om=1
