hey there, ive applied for the program and am just wondering each week, what is the average salary that you get in your bank account once taxes and everything has been taken away THANKS
Your wage will depend on your role. Some are better paid than others. It is also dependant on how much you work. I usually worked around 45-50 hrs a week and usually came home with around $200 when everything has come off. Sometimes I got a lot less though (like $130 a week). So really it is all subjective to you and your role.
It's not that little. The lowest I've gotten so far was $178, and I was on really short shifts and ER'd most days. This week i've got $211 and still only did 38 hours. It goes quite far, considering i'm living off popcorn and ramen noodles most of my wages are still in the bank! I'm using them for Halloween horror and Mickeys not so scary these next two days though so i'll be poor again soon!
It really does depends on how well you are able to save. Some people claim they can't, but when you work out in FL you will learn to! Another experience of being independent lol.
we had the presentation yesterday and the canada wages for food and beverage were 7.75/hr non tipped, and 3.65/hr tipped. i can't imagine earning 3.65 an hour! they mustt be crazy good tips haha. the merch/attraction jobs earn less than non tipped f&b, $6 something. however roger did say they were going up in january
We got a pay rise a couple of weeks ago, F&B are on $8.06 an hour If you get trained on stocking and beer cart you can usually get at least 3 hours of overtime a week which puts your wages into about the $200 range. Everyone's taking every ER they can get at the moment though so they're coming out with about $140. But then it's totally up to you, want more money, stay in work! You can get by on relatively little. I only spend about $40 on food a week, the rest goes on clothes and socialising!
i was in F&B norwegian pavillion, but this was in 2002 and i got approx 6 dollars per hour. waiters earn great money tho, mainly so F&B can really make you earn more then merch. tips are addictive tho
As I said, it's all about being careful with your money. I only earnt $6.40 in 2006 and still had money to spare. And I was paying university fees to Central Michigan Uni. It's all about taking advantage of what you get for free! We spent loads of nights watching fireworks and going to parks and soaking up the atmosphere. We'd go to Downtown Disney and just laze around...or visit property control to see if we could find the merch we wanted there, before buying it in parks. I got so much stuff from property control that I wanted and there was nothing wrong with it. It's possible to live on not much money...I'm living proof! Anyway, you're not there for the money, you're there for the experience of working in a top entertainment company; something you can put on your CV and it will be the only thing you ever talk about at interviews.
