Does anybody know if we must pay Disney for the insurance we get after we have been working there for 4 month? If so how much will they take each week out of our salary? And is there somthing else thene tax, rent and maybe insurance we must pay with the salary each week?

I heard we must pay 10% tax of the salary each week, is that tru or is it higher?

I will be working at food & baverage, will you earn 6.80 pr. h the fist 6 month and thene some dollars lower + tips the 6 next month?

hope somone can answer me :)

    Hei Norsk.

I don't know in your pavillion, but in the Mexican we pay the insurance for the first 3-4 months and after that they pay for it.

I don't know about the tax thing.

Yes, you will earn 6.8 per hour for 4-7 months before you become a server, after that you'll earn 3.X something plus tips. yep

Disney insurance kicks in after 3 months, but we have to insure ourselves for 4 so that there is a month overlap, this is incase there are any problems or delays with the disney insurance I believe. As for the disney insurance itself I don't know the exact figures but they deduct X amount of dollars from each paycheck (how much you pay depends on which plan you choose, but apparently they start at a very basic very cheap rate if you worried about paying a lot, about 10 a week I think?).

Hehe, I bet there are more things they will deduct of our salary each week that we dont know of before we go there.
So they will deduct rent, tax (10%) and insurance of our salary? I hope it is not more they will deduct?

I forgot that we have to pay back our flight ticket too each month, this is the answer i got from France about the plane ticket:
The ticket will be pre-paid by Disney. You will have to pick it up at the airport 2 or 3 hours before your departure. Then upon arrival you will have to reimburse them either in one go or every month on your Disney salary, they are quite flexible on the way you decide to reimburse.

And she told me the plane ticket will cost from 500-100 US Dollars, so if you dont pay back all whene you arrive they will deduct some Dollars from your salary until you have paid theme back for the plane ticket.

Woah, where'd that come from? More and more things seem to be coming my already small salary  There is something on the site about tax forms though, so will we be able to claim the 10% back does anyone know?

They'll tax off taxes, rent, flight deductions, union fees (if you're part of it) and then insurance. Disney doesn't PAY for your insurance...it's subsidized. They provide the package for you and they pay part and you pay part. It's not very much, maybe $10 a week depending on what you choose. You have to be covered for the first 4 months because your coverage kicks in at the start of the month following your three month anniversary...eg. I arrived August 6th, so my three month was November 6th, which meant my coverage would begin December 1st.

Does anybody know what the Union fee shannybanany is talking about? And who is part of it?
Is it the 70 dollar for the program assessment fee we must pay whene we get there or is it somthing else?

It's not the 70 dollars, we have to pay that regardless of whether we choose to go int he union or not I would think. Would the union stuff even apply to the IP's?
