hey can someone tel me where i can find a link or somethink? I am wondering how much we can take along with us (luggage), and if we want to take something with us on the plane do we have to take see true bags ect.. I don't know anything about the rules so i am asking u for help Thanx
How much luggage you can take depends on the airline. But as a general rule it's two suitcases weighing no more than 50kg in total. Then one piece of hand luggage. The see thru bags thing is for items such as lighters.
Its right what he says, If you wanna bring more then 50kg, you probably have to pay a lot extra for each package .. but who wants to carry more then 50kg? :O
Good Evening Teresemor! How are you? With regards to the airlines, the general luggage allowence is usally 20-23kg per case for check-in. And 5kg of weight in your hand luggage, which must be of a size that is easily placed into the overhead locker or underneath the seat, with no assistance from the crew. With regards to liquids, you are allowed 100ml of gels or liquids in a clear re-sealable plastic bag, which I would advise to keep separate from you hand luggage as this will be x-rayed / scanned separately. I have been Cabin Crew for the airlines for five years, so anymore questions your more than welcome to ask. Hope this helps. Graeme.
Graeme, how do you become cabin crew? I've decided it sounds like one big travelling adventure, and I need some post-Disney plans Also, do ladies have to be perfect size 10's? Cos I ain't
Hi there graeme. I'm from norway, do you know what airline company(s) that has the cheapest flights to orlando from oslo? The cheapest I've found around 4-5 may is more then $1100 and that ain't cheap for me thanks for any help at all
Hello Mariusen, I have sent you a reply on another thread. Continental Airlines from Oslo I found to be the cheapest, but if you want to fly from Kristiansand, then you may be better getting to Manchester to Gatwick and connecting with a direct flight to Orlando. Graeme.
My plan to take no more than half a HUGE suitcase with me and buy another suitcase during the program. Then i've got a suitcase and a half of space to bring home all the stuff i've bought
One thing to try with the size of the cases is to choose ones that are roughly 23kg (or whatever your airline's limit is) when fully packed, so that you don't get tempted to overpack your bag on your return trip - it really can cost a fortune if they charge you for excess baggage, much more than the savings you made in the purchase, and unless you happen to have scales with you, measuring the weight on return is an estimate. Also worth remembering that 5 days a week you'll be wearing your costume, so you may need less clothes than you realise. Consider bringing those 'essentials' with you if you've got spare weight allowances on the outbound journey - small purchases for shampoo, toilietries, duvet etc soon add up, and some can be left there if you don't have the space to take them home when you leave.
I couldn't agree more. Most airlines including Virgin Atlantic, offer the option of doubling your baggage allowence for a small cost. ....A Option which I think I will make good use of. As AJ2721 says, the excess baggage charge at the airport is very very expensive!
hi guys, just a friendly tip. remember to pack some formal clothes in your hand luggage for the first day or 2. dunno how your flights work, but from South Africa your luggage goes separately to orlando. so if it gets lost/is late you need to have your formal outfit for training the next day! apparently this happens to a lot of people and then they are scrooged..
im not taking a full suit with me. i hate wearing a suit! you just need to wear formal pants and shirt and formal shoes. if you wish you can wear a tie aswell
