Hey there, just feel like I have to tell everyone out there that I just resigned and won't be any longer a DCL Crew member. I loved working in Merch but there were a few things I didn't like besides the fact that I missed the Parks soooo much and compared everything to it. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about myself. Dani

Sorry to hear that too Dani. :-[ I hope you have thought about it too as I know when I worked on the ship a great deal of things annoyed me but now that I have been back home for almost 2 years I realised that I do still miss it and I am thinking about going back! I do still miss the parks too and figure the cruise line is the closest things I'll get to the parks. Are you going to finish your contract or are you leaving just now? My advice would be to stay and at least get all the money they owe you! My boyfriend at the time got fired when I still had one month left but I stayed to make sure I got my bonus and my sign-off bonus!!! ;D I hope whatever you do makes you happy! Hey there, I had vacation from january to march and was supposed to fly back last saturday. I already had confirmed my return to the wonder in february but I was not happy at all with my decision. Like I said it was a great expercience but there were to many things that I didn't like. There must be another way to work for the Disney Company and if not so I can say that I worked there and had a good time. Life has to go on. I don't mind working 74-80hrs a week but than I need to be happy in my spare time and things that make me happy. @ Laura: I missed the ship from time to time during my vacation and I sometimes think about what would I do right now on the ship, who would I met on the I-95.... The thing that makes me a little bit dissapointed is that I didn't get the bonus before I went on vacation and that I lost the "come back bonus" but it's not worth going back just for the money. @ Ona: I still recommend it but you have to see the pros and cons. I see what a disney jerk you are ;D and so am I but Disney Cruise Line is not Disney World and we both are "Kids of Epcot". I only know 2 former IP who love working on the ship and do prefer it instead of the parks. The rest is thinking about resigning in their vacation. :-\ Dani
Dannii, Thank you for making so many posts. Ive read a lot of what you said and its helping me think of good things to ask myself and good things to investigate before going. Hi Danni. Sorry to hear you're going but I'm sure you've made the best decision for you. I've heard from a lot of people that the cruise line is alot different to the parks and I guess its for some people and not others. Hope it makes you happier now as I know the decision must have been hard. Sarah
