Hello all, So this waiting game has me constantly thinking and daydreaming about disney. Lately, I keep wondering what the residence is like because I'm curious as to how people passed time when not working or what they did to have fun. For anyone who has already lived in residence or has any information, can you share with everyone if there were, say, parties allowed in the houses? what you did for fun to pass time when you werent working for the mouse? maybe what it was like living with a number of people you've never met, etc. This is to satisfy my nerves as I continue to check my email say... every 2 1/2 mins. Thanks!
I can answer most of these questions but because I was 18 during ICP I lived in a wellness apartment meaning no alcohol allowed. As for fun? I spent countless nights at the parks with my roomies. Sure the first week everyone was a little more reserved having just met everyone for the first time but that wears off very fast. Keep in mind, everyone is in the same boat. Making friends comes very easily as there is that one thing everyone has in common - the love of Disney! Now that I'll be a little older this time around I'm sure there will be a place for parties in my Disney year of a lifetime. As far as living with roommates? The biggest thing is to respect that not everyone does things the exact same way as you and it doesn't make them any better or worse for it. Embrace the different cultures and you'll be happy you did. Have a magical day!
aww wow thats awesome! i am of age so I wont have to live in wellness but I am super excited after reading that so thank you! i guess i was worried about maybe throwing a birthday party or something and security coming to crash it because no parties allowed or something like that... that would suck but id rather spend my time in the parks anyways thanks again!
