What were the prices like Emma? Also, how does it work out financially for Brits to buy a car for the year? Taking into account the car purchase, tax, licences etc? J, xx
I have a special friend coming down at the beginning of January, and would really like to rent a car. What do you have to do to get one? A special licence or something? Chase
ive heard that ffor us norwegian we can drive around on our norwegian drivers license when we rent, but we need to get an american licensen, probably somekind of a simple version, hehe. If we own a car in florida
mr.x: i've heard that you can drive 6months on the norwegian drivers license(after ur arrival), but not more. if you go to gjensidige(a insurance company in norway) and pay them 120kr(about $19) you get a international driver license, that works for one year. aswell as 120kr, you need a pass-photo and your regular drivers license. i've bought myself an international one. i do nooot know why i didn't write this in norwegian, but...done is done. Steffen
hehe, hey oblivion, writing in englsih is good, because then all know what we are talking about are you going to disney next year you to? Thanks for the info, im thinking about getting insurance from gjensidige instead of that paris insurance noellie informed me about, in a away i feel more safe with a norwegian company, hehe. Im also thinking about getting insurance for a whole year, i heard that the disney insurance isnt any good Ellers da? hehe

hehe, well well, cant see everything in these exciting days hehe, good luck steffen, guess i see you in feb.
Guys!. sorry for the wrong information in my last post, I understand that we can get a license in florida, right?, anyone knows how much per day is to rent a car with insurances, taxes and everything?, just an idea, it doens't have to be exact, i just want to compare, cause I work at avis here in mexico, so i think i can get special rates with avis in usa or wherever, but i would like to have some ideas about the rates there. Thanks. Medardo
Try https://www.avis.com/AvisWeb/rentalsupport/InvokeSearchRentalLocation?ACTION=BROWSE_RENTAL_LOCATION entering Orlando, Florida for the location... I could give something more specific-but I think rates differ based on where you pick them up. So Orlando Intl. Airport could be different from Hilton Hotel, Lake Buena Vista *nods* Kev
