Reimbursments for flights

Hey guys!

Just wanted to toss some questions out there about flights in case anyone can help...

I know Disney will refund one flight at the end of the program, but does anyone know which leg they refund, the flight there or the flight home? I'm still in the midst of trying to book my flight and my parents are trying to convince me to book a round trip since it's a little cheaper. If I do decide to go with a round trip ticket, does Disney then refund me 1/2 of the cost? If anyone knows, I'd be grateful if you could pass it on to me and everyone else wondering...

where are you flying from? YVR?
Because when I was looking up flights it was SO much more that I decided to fly out of SEA in seattle.

I bought a one-way flight and I'll get Disney to pay for my flight home.
Another bonus from flying out of Seattle is you can get a non-stop flight, so NO stopovers anywhere will be awesome!
I got my non-stop flight for only $260 CAD...........

I would also suggest book through a travel agant not online, because they will be able to give you more help with costs/times/availability.
I would call and check times asap, I'm going on the evening of the 27th and flights were filling up FAST because of spring break.....

I haven't decided where to fly out from yet...it'll be either YVR or SEA on the night of the 13th since I want to get into Orlando as early as possible on the 14th.

Does this mean we can pick which leg Disney pays for? Thanks for responding!

 

i think they pay for ur flight home....coz a condition of that, is that u complete ur full contract isnt it?

Yeah...that's what I thought. But a friend of mine did the program a few years ago, and he got reimbursed for his flight to Orlando at the end of the year, hence my confusion ???

 

They give you the price of the ticket you paid for to get down there on completion of your contract.

 

and so then are you on your own to get home? Or how does it work?

 

so they reimburse wot u paid for the flight out there...
so if u paid say 500 quid for a flight there, they give u 500 quid back at the end, and u get a flight home for 300....in a way u kinda make a profit?

 

Yeah, you're supposed to use the money you get back from your flight to Orlando to book one back home.

If you pay more now for a flight, then you'll be getting it back later anyways.

i thought they just booked ur flight home and paid for it, didnt realise they paid back ur flight out there but its better this way i think

Acruz - if you want to get there early you should fly out of SEA at the 11:25 flight like me and David are doing, gets you into MCO at 7:35am, pretty good!

 

Yeah, see if they're willing to pay for you to go First Class

 

when i went out there many moons ago (1999) disney paid for the cost of the flight out there, then took it out of my pay cheque every week, till it was paid off. When i completed the program, got my final pay check, had to go to the travel agents, and book a flight home by myself, and pay for it 2.

true story tho, i booked a flight to London, ca't remember how much exactly , maybe bout $450. Couple of girls i knew booked tkts and picked them up at airport. They said they got their tkts for bout £150 and took great delight in telling me how cheap their tkts were to birmingham.

Unfortunately it was to Birmingham Alabama, not England, and hey had already spent all their money !!!

i wanna know if the refund for our flight ticket/fares) (one way or round-trip) by disney has been stricted on specific program, such as our cultural rep. program or not? :-*

 

i know for the international rep program (from canada at least) we pay for our flight there. then at the completion of the contract, they give the cost back to you so you can get home. they pay for one way, so if you book a roundtrip ticket they will give you back half of it!
