Recreation Cast Members in this role may work in various areas including, without limitation, resorts, towel rentals, watercraft rental, marina operations, ticket sales, arcades, children's activities and slide operations. There are additional certification requirements for some roles. Due to the nature of this role, individuals may experience prolonged exposure to outside weather elements and should have strong swimming skills. During off-peak seasons, Recreation Cast Members may assist other operating areas throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Responsibilities may include: keeping recreation areas clean, maintaining safety standards, assisting Guests, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Has anyone worked in recreation? That's definately NOT custodial. It seems like you'll be like a pool boy, or rental (for pool/marina) person. Seems fun!
custodial is basically a cleaner. but im sure it will be a good cleaning job since you get to walk around the park in the sun!

You've had forms from the uni in america? I haven't had any forms..Are you with the University of Michigan? Im really really excited..Still quite abit of time to go yet tho, but i go on holiday next week for 2 weeks! So that should make it go faster!
Yummy gave me several links to a bunch of .pdf files, so I could download all of the forms. They're all on some "secret" part of the UNCG website. I'm with the University of North Carolina Greensboro since Michigan wouldn't accept me. I have to get my internship coordinator from my own uni to sign them and send the forms to UNCG by email and by post. It's so much hassle with my uni closing in a week because of the summer and me going on holiday in a week too. On top of all that the UNCG person who's supposed to answer all of my questions is not responding to my emails, which kind of sucks since I'm in such a hurry. Yeah, I know, I'm off to Mexico for 16 days on July 3rd, where are you going? I really hope I can get most of the stuff I have to take care of out of the way before I leave though, I'd hate to have to worry about things when I'm on holiday, it's not like I can do anything about it then. I get back on the 18th... that's 1 month and 1 day before leaving! 8) I can't wait to see what WDW is like... my cousin just got back from Florida and kept telling me about how amazing it was.
Just checking to see if anyone else got offered a role in Recreation... Up until now I haven't been able to find anyone who's going to be doing Recreation, I'm seriously starting to think I'm special.
