Im leaving for WDW in a months time and know that I will live at the Commons. After what Ive heard they have apartments for 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 cast-members living together.
Im not sure what to pick (if i even get a choice) but can anyone recommend me one of them and perhaps give me the ups and downs for the different sizes of the rooms?!

    thanx!

Yeah 4 o 6 is ok, but u dont get a chance to chose.
If you are not comfortable with your room you can ask a room change, but it takes a lot of time and it costs like $50.

I would love a 4 person apartment...I've lived in a 6 bed house, and am currently in an 8 room flat in halls...and I can speak from experience when I say less is more!! but I'll give it a chance if I get a larger than 4 place! :D it's good that you get the option to move if you're really unhappy where you are! :D

the apartments in the commons house 2-8 people and you dont get a choice where youre gonna be - when you get to the commons you will be told where youre living - you get no option!!!

i started in an 8 person at and now live in a 2 but its all down to personal preference! i just didnt like the fact that the kitchen and fridge etc are the same size in a 8 person apt as they are in a 2 so theres just not enpough room for everyones stuff.

theres usually no problem moving if youre not happy, so its nothing to worry about too much!!!

See you all out here soon xxx

I think i would personally prefer a 4 person flat. So a 2 bedroom one. Altho i prob would be ok in a 3 bedroom one. i used to live in a flat with 8 people but we all had our own rooms so if it got too much we could all escape from one another. This time round we dont have anywhere to run. So i think less people the better. Im with ellen on this one...less is definately more. I'd love to have my flat mates turn into my bestest friends...a cool group :) x

I live with 6 people at the minute - and my only gripe is that they're not particularly sociable.

I can't see that being an issue in Florida so I really don't care where they wanna put me ;D

I agree with ellen and lillybet i think i would prefer a smaller apartment as everything is going to be mad out there that I think it would be nice to have somewhere to chill

but im just pleased to be going ;D

Apart from summer camp (sharing my room with 6 eight year old girls) and a sememster at an American Uni (with one girl) i've lived at home. My mum, dad and sister have gone away to Florida without me, and i'm sooooo lonely on my own. I think living with lots of people will help me a lot - there's bound to be a spread of personalities in an 8 people apt.

    Cant Wait!! ;D

I feel like so much has changed... well when I was there last I chose an 8 person apartment, something I came to regret (except for the fact that I met my best friend there) and I changed to a 4-person one. 8 people was just too much... there was always someone there and not enough space etc...

I really don't think i'll be that bothered! lived on a corridor of 20 people in my first year and now in a house with 7 others, so always been surrounded by loads of people!! although i do have to admit not having my own room may get a bit too much at times when u need your own space....but i'm sure it'll all be good! can't wait.....only 29days....4 weeks tomorrow! woo woo! x

Just remembered the worst thng about an 8 person apartment - you have to share the bathroom between 2 bedrooms so four people whereas in all the other size apartments there is an ensuite bathroom shared between just 2 people!!!

I was in a 4 bedroom 8 person apartment for around 6 months and it wasn't too bad except that the fridge is the same size for 8 people as it is for 2!!! We had half a shelf each in the fridge and there was just no room in the freezer at all! I didn't mind living with that many people as everybody was never there at the same time but it did become a bit of a pain if you wanted to watch TV! My roommate was never there as she always stayed with her boyfriend so I effectively had a room to myself! The only other thing about the 4 bedroom apartments is you do have one bathroom between 4 people so that can be a bit inconvenient. You have your own sink in your room but the toilet and shower are shared and there are two doors leading into it so you have to remember to lock both!!!!

I moved to a 2 bedroom, 4 person apartment about half way through my contract and I have to say it was much better! A whole shelf each in the fridge and a bathroom between two! Only problem was the closet was in the bathroom so you couldn't be modest! I had a great Canadian roommate though so we had a good understanding! The rent was a little more but it was worth it for the extra space in the fridge!!!! And thankfully for me my second apartment was much nearer the bus stop!!!! I know you can request to change apartments but I think it costs around $50. You don't get a choice when you arrive, you just get put wherever there's space!!!

Enjoy it guys. I'm jealous! Wish I could do it all over again! It's 3 years today since my last day working at Epcot! It seems like yesterday!

    Take care,

I was one of the last groups that got to list their preference I think. My number one was 2 bedroom, then a 3. I was in a 2 bedroom. There were only three of us in there for a few months, which was great. My apt. was huge. My bedroom was a decent size. Our bathroom was huge, but our closet was small. not in the bathroom though, so that was good. The closets that are off the bathroom are soooo big!! Like another entire room. The other room in our apt. was smaller, had a smaller bathroom, but had a HUGE closet. Probably 6 times the size of mine!!!! Not all apartments are the same. My 2 bedroom was different than my friends and was different than another. It's fun to see all the different versions. Mine didn't have a balcony so my living room was soooo big and had this whole other area (where a balcony would normally have been), where we kept our laundry racks and pool toys. I think it's the perfect size apt.

hehe! that's what i have in my uni house right now sarah! we have 2 bathrooms - but one has a toilet and bath and the other a toilet with a shower......but no one ever uses the bath...so if we're all going out together on a night out we have to start showing abuot 530 to make sure we all get a shower! but in the mornings its not too bad coz we all have different lectures!!!

it's not as bad as you think it's gonna be.....we were dreading it when we moved in...but with such an ideal location we couldn't pass the house up! x
