Hey! I've been scouring theseboards looking for tips for my ICP interview on the 19th November in L/pool but most of the example questions seem to be from the CRP interviews (e.g. questions on heritage). Are the majority of questions the same or is there anyone out there who can shed a little more light on the ICP ones? Thanks xx
ok they ask you about yourself, the lifestyle ie can you share a room with someone, what made you apply and general work experience than can help in the roles.. they also make sure you are within the disney look and some other things
Yeh they will ask you things mostly to do with the living situation like 'What do you think it will be like to share a room with somebody' or 'How do you think you will cope sharing with someone'. 'What do you think some of the problems are sharing with people' was one of mine. I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine tho becoz being at uni usually means you've had experience with it all already. Perhaps a few general questions about what degree you are studying and 'why do you want to work for Disney'. They asked me what kind of things I liked to do when I went on holiday... not quite sure why that was. My only guess was it was to see what kind of person you were to see what role might suit you best. Ben
for the icp the sharing a room question would be quite easy as most people would of experienced it going to uni, i share a house with 7 other people but not a bedroom...although i may as well because the walls are made with paper (some strong paper but i swear its that thin....)
Hey, I had my ICP interview yesterday for Summer 2008. There were 3 of us in the interview (!) because they wanted to take their lunch break so they just put three together! Dunno if that was a great idea actually. They asked the first girl what she wanted to get from a Summer at Disney, what skills and such she wanted to develop. Then she asked the next girl the same thing... then me the SAME! It was s difficult not to just regurgitate the things said before but to try and get your own stuff across... it continued like that for the rest of the interview! Any, the two week wait begins... We were asked... 'definition of teamwork' why each of us would be suitable for the roles we'd put down on our role checklists the one place we wanted to go in the world how we cope with change what characteristics about you would you want your room mate to know describe a time when you've turned a negative situation around ach, loads of similar ones.. now looking back I keep kicking myself for silly things I said... argh. must stop over-analysing things, time will tell! good luck to those who have not had it yet. the whole day is so much fun, awesome banter with folk! just have a laugh xx
Im sure that if you wern't miserable and you smiled, you would of got through, avn't heard of many people not gettin in the ICP
so is it true then that more people get into the ICP than the year long program? is that because less people apply for it or there is more roles available?!
almost everyoen gets on the ICP, so dont worry. If you think about it, for the year long CRP program then they would only need (at a guess) 100ish for the whoel year, because they can only work at that one pavilion. On the ICP you could be placed anywhere. When i was in Merchandise, there ere over 200 statused cast members just for my area. In Operations there were more than that still! So basically they only need a limited number of people for CRP, whereas they need as many people they can get, especilly in the busy summer season!!
yeah i see if you could be in over 10 different roles anywhere not just parks but hotels as welll they must need loads....eek im still scared!
Jason from Yummy Jobs was saying at the interviews that they interview about 100 folk from the UK for the CRP and about 500 from the UK for Summer ICPs...
This is all very good news that you are more likely to get through for the ICP. My interview is on Monday at Liverpool. From what I have heard the main thing with the interview is to be happy and confident with yourself and just show eagerness to work for the company. Are you more likely to get your first option if you say that one of your hobbies or something is linked to it or is it just sheer luck if you get it or now? Mine is merch i think and then custodial and costuming (i think) x
see im not sure about costuming because i dont want to be stood in the sun all day because i know i'll burn! but would costuming be inside the whole time? wow 500 people thats alot...does anyone know roughly how many people are at the interview (im going on friday the one in hammersmith)
heya all ..Anyone else got interview in liverpool on the 20th nov? seems like everyones is on the 19th.. I so excited but nervous at the same time, wahoo..ahh..Any one got a good bit of single advice to take in with you?
at hours loads turned up for the presentation but quite a few were ex cast members coming back for a wee nosey, others weren't actually getting interviewed that day. I think about 70 were interviewed on my day at Robert Gordons, which was catering for basically the whole of Scotland.
The Interviews like the usual set up, you go in with one other person...well i went in with 2 lol! they ask "why disney and what motivates u?" but she asked us all different questions after that which was weird but as long as u answer it ell and be honest and yourself i'm sure its all good...i ahd mine on the 19th so still waiting to hear back! Need 2 know so i can start SAVING! But everyone i know who did it from the interview and my frends who have dun it all say its easy to get on! So heres hoping...but hey its gunna be an expensive summer! haha ???
yeah i had mine aswell on the monday it wasnt to tough kim was really nice im sure well know what role we get in two weeks or so
