Random question!!!

Hi guys really random but can anyone tell me if you can buy Region 2 DVDS out in the US for likes of UK visitors (me) Random I know but one has to know!!!! :-\

 

Normally you can only buy dvd's for region 1 (usa), but they can be used in the UK with a multi region dvd player (I bought some last year on holiday.)If your player isn't multi region, you can get codes off the internet to unlock them.

We unlocked all our players, to be region free, so any dvds can be played on them, no matter where they are from.

I buy loads of dvds in the states that are region 1 and have just unlocked my dvd player and they work fine!

There are loads of sites on the net that help you hack ur player. i was telling loads of british people last time I was there because they heard we were british and wondered how we could buy region 1 dvds so we told them how to play them back in the uk.

 

Oh cool but Sounds complicated how does one do this? am entriged now!!!!!

 

it's easy, there's a website called www.dvdhack.com I think it is and you just search for your dvd player on there (make,model) and it gives you instructions!

Im gonna go see if i can do that to my dvd player! Would be good to get my american sex and the city dvds to work on that rather than having to watch them on my laptop.
I have a question this is probably me being a ditz but where on the site does it say how u unlock the dvd players? All i can find is links to buying dvd players...

Im getting an ipod in america - theyre cheaper there and the power adapters are multi regional - i got all the plugs for my i book
Though 100 quid sounds good.

hiya,

yeah american dvds will work with a multi region player but I dont think a UK player will work in the US due to the television being different PAL/ NSTC

See im a bit confused about charging my i-pod and laptop and stuff cause of the voltage?! Anyone any ideas on how i can do this without blowing up my electrical stuff?!!!
