I'll do my best to answer from last time i was there. The florida winter is not cold. It might seem a bit chilli(coldest i had was 8 c at night) but with the humiddity it seems a lot Colder. So do pack a sweatter or 2. You will proably have time to go to wallmart the first day, so you can get your bed sheets etc there. If you do have a good big pool/beach towell, do bring it but all the other towelles etc is cheap as!

It is important to bring a business dress for the girls and a suit for the boys as i think the dress standard for traditions still is business attire. Of course bring your spring summer clothes as the spring feels like Summer to Us europeans;)
There is no real point of bringing to much DvD'S. If you are, bring them in a dvd folder not the case. Remember, you are sharing a room , bathroom and walkin with one other.( and you are not going to have time to watch them anyhow ) ;)
Yes the first few days will be, party and early up in the morning. So bring an open mind to have fun!hehe.

I'll update this if i remember more.

stupid computer froze. Hehe. I think that they provide you with a pillow and duvet when you arrive(but how frozen are you?) do not need one.hehe. When i was there last time they also gave one set om blankets and towells. But everyone wants more.
And to the one wanting to bring tv, ps3 and xbox. No way man. Nope i say;) you are not going to have time.

I can not wait to go back over there. If anyone have any questions, just add me on facebook. Paal Erik Vangstein

I did the ICP last year, so it might be different for the CRP but i didn't have any bedding at all when i arrived! I brought a sheet and my own pillow with me but most people go Walmart on their first night so you can just buy it all when you arrive. If you're arriving during spring or summer you won't need a duvet, i just had a light blanket, but if you're arriving in winter eg. October onwards, it can get cold some nights so you might want a duvet, especially for the times when your roommates still have the air con on full blast!! It all depends on you, and how cold you get!

Don't buy work shoes until you arrive because they'll tell you exactly what you need when you arrive, and they're cheaper there.

Like Paal said, you need business attire for Traditions, which, if you're a girl and plan on wearing a skirt, should include tights/panty hose, if you don't have them you may be sent home and asked to come back another day! Business shoes shouldn't be opened toed i think!

I wouldn't waste valuable suitcase space on posters, i brought a few photos and that was it.

The basic things you need to bring are summer clothes and a few things to keep you warm if it gets cold (as i said, depending on the air con it can get pretty cool inside). I wouldn't bother with a massive coat, just some hoodies and jeans, but not many because it's not cold for long and you're working most of the time! Swimwear!! Comfy shoes for walking around parks on your days off!

Some people who drive down from Canada do bring stuff like tv's, dvd players, etc, which is a good idea if you've got the extra room because it saves having to buy them when you get there, but it's not essential and as Paal said, you don't have much free time! Me and my roommates bought a tv off some people who were leaving and i think we paid about $14 each! Don't bother bringing DVD's, the vista way learning center has loads you can rent!

If you have room a laptop can be useful, but not essential, there are computers with internet in some (maybe all) apartment complexes. American plug adapters if you're bring anything with a different plug (may seem obvious but just in case!!) You can but really cheap mobile phones in Walmart. Mp3 players can be useful for long bus journeys, but don't forget your chargers!

Anything you do forget can be found easily in either Walmart, or the premium outlets next to the Commons!

Some of the stuff is really obvious, but sometimes that's the stuff you don't think too much about!! Sorry, it's so long...I hope it helps and makes sense, its all a bit jumbled but i was reading a little checklist i had as i went along!!

In my mind, if you bring a laptop (especially if you've got a nice little one) then you can store a lot more photos and memories of home on it, than you could ever pack in hard format. For example, I have loads of digital photos, but not many SD cards to go in my camera. A laptop is handy for storing all the photos you take while you're out there as well, without having to buy more SD/CF/whichever cards.

As for that list of consoles... I have WAY more than that. *goes into competition mode* Wii, xbox360, original xbox, ds, psp, dreamcast, PS2, PS1, snes, megadrive, N64... we have older ones aswell, but I'm sure you don't care.
As and when I get to Disney, NONE of those will be coming with. If you really want, take the DS or PSP for bus journeys, but suitcase space is kind of a big limitation.

  15. Definitely taking my MacBook couldn't live without it - it will be my main form of communication home :) Plus i need to store the mass amount of photo's i plan on taking. Oh and a must is my SLR camera!

Hey, sounds good to me! Our room will be gaming central!

Dreamcast? Wow, that is impressive... do you actually use it? It would only be more so if you had an atari or a Neo Geo! However I did notice that you don't have the best system that's out right now... :p

The dreamcast doesn't get used much, but there's a couple of games I intend on starting pretty soon. I did say we have older ones, and that includes an atari jaguar. We used to have a PS3. We sold it. So clearly you're wrong about saying it's the best system out right now. Btw, just to make you even more jealous... we use these consoles on a projector. 86" screen beats your 32" hands down! :p

I must admit... that's some serious p*wnage... No game gear though Rod? Or how about some classic Game & Watch handhelds?

I have only a PS3, N64 and a DS... I was deprived as a child... In fact the only system I had when I was younger was a NES that I had to hide and take out only when I used because my parents were so against video games, lol

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in my opinion, the PS3 is the best system out now. Differing opinions doesn't make mine wrong. I like it because of the types of games that I play and also because it plays Blu-Rays. The Blu-ray player on the PS3 is better than most stand alone players, so in my opinion is worth having even if you don't fancy the games. Anyways, that's how I "C" it :D
