Hello all! I will be applying for the Summer ICP in 2010, and I was just wondering when (at least, in the past) have the applications been due and when would be a good time to contact the recruiting agency. I'm assuming it would have to be sometime next year (2009), which I know isn't for awhile, but I'm one of those people who likes to be prepared Thanks! -merfsko
Well the applications for ICP summer 2009 opened on 1st August so I guess it will be around the same time for you next year. The best thing to do is to e-mail Yummy Jobs a bit closer to the time.
Thanks! I thought it would have to be around next summer, but I will definately send them an e-mail next spring! And sorry to be such a bother, but I have another small question: When I apply next summer, although I will have been accepted, I will have not yet started a semester at my university (I am currently a grade twelve student). But by the time my program comes around, I will have compelted my first year. This does not effect the application process, does it? Thanks again! I am so excited about this oppurtunity and want to know as much as I can, so thanks for putting up with me and my questions! -merfsko
I think a lot of people here are in that situation, but I think the deal is that you've been to uni for at least a year and return for at least a term before you go onto the ICP, so long as you've been accepted and are going, then that should be ok. But I've applied after my first year and will be going after my second, so I'm not entirely sure...?

I asked Kelly, and she said as long as you've finished your first year when you go, you'll be fine. But I know we travel on a slightly different visa so idk. Email your contact and check, I guess
You'll be fine, as long as your in uni and going back into it. I'm an odd one, because i'll be graduating just before i go...well technically its in november...but i finish my degree may/june time. I had to email ahead because they've only just started taking graduates again or something :S on the ICP. If you're worried, just email them!!
Thanks all! I was fairly certain it woulf be fine, but I'll double-check when I e-mail them about the application process later on. If worst comes to worst, I can wait a year Thanks, again. -merfsko
