Hey I got my F2F confirmation today (Ie passed the phone interview) and I was just wondering if when the F2F is finished you know for sure you have a position even if you don't know your exact departure date yet? They told me today that I would be going down in September or December if accepted and I'd hate to go from March -December and find out that I'm not going. So I guess in a nutshell after your interview do you know if you're going, and if not about how long does it take? And if they do tell you at the interview, do you know your position/departure date? Thanks in advance!
At the interview they'll tell you a date you'll know by. I intervied on November 18th (a friday) and they said that if we hadn't heard anything by December 7th we were to call them. I got called on December 5th, the earliest anyone got called was the 2nd. My friend hadn't heard anything so she called on the 7th and she was still in! Just waitlisted - which can mean you're waiting anywhere from a week to months. She was lucy and got called not long after with her departure date. Okay, I'm sure that long blabbing just confused you more haha (to sum up, you'll know hopefully within a month after your interview)
Oh man, you have no idea how nerveracking it will be. PAINFUL! By the ime I still hadn't heard anything at 10 days after the interview I had totally given up and gotten SO depressed! I was had just graduated college the same week as my interview and hadn't gotten full-time back at my work yet so I had all my days free which was even worse. There were two days where I never even got out of bed! I lay in bed all day watching full house re-runs with my cell and my house phone right by my face and anytime the phone would ring I would start shaking! LOL
lol wow, I guess in a way I'll have my University courses to keep me busy, but on the other hand I've only got about an hour and a half a day 4 days a week (only 3 courses this term). I even had to talk to a prof about rescheduling a mid term so I could go to my face to face lol
It totally depends how many people are there..........at my vancouver interview in november there were 45 and in calgary there were about 25, but I've heard other past ones, espcially back east I believe they can be quite large. It's different everytime though.
AMAZING!!! Ok, I'll take you through it, I arrived an hour early (you're told to be there half an hour, so I got there very early to look good and get a seat in the front) Once most people were there they handed out some paperwork and a a cool International Program booklet with pictures and stuff. Then they introduced themselfevs and Jeff and Dawn (the Disney reps) told their Disney-career stories. Jeff actually started out doing the American College program and now look where he is! It was really great to see where this year can take us. Then they asked a few (REALLY easy....to me anyway) Disney trivia questions, I answered one (and raised my hand for all of them, they had to tell me to stop haha) and got an awesome Disney International Program Pin! Then they started the powerpoint presentation on the wall up front, it had pictures and information and then video clips with a girl named Valerie hosting it. She was SO cute and Disney-happy, it was cool to see a video tour of the housing, work locations and costumes. Starting at 9am that took us to about 10:45 then they gave everyone their times for their one on one interviews with two people scheduled for every 15 minutes (but you're not being interviewed together, it's one person for each Disney rep) going all the way untill 5pm at my invterview :S Mine wasn't untill 4:00 so I had a long time to wait, but me and my friend went for lunch and shopping so we had a nice day
Hey That sounds like an awesome presentation..... I am really excited about going. So what kind of Disney trivia did they ask.... it sounds like everyone has a great time!!! Is there anyone else on these boards going to the presentation in Toronto March 5th?
wow! thanks Tessa, that sounds amazing! So what trivia should I be studying? haha... I'm so excited! I just want to go now. Anyone going to be at the Halifax interviews on March 1st?
Hehe. I think Tessa's version of so easy differed from most people at my interview . Who seemed quite bemused by the dates I knew....
Thanks snowwhite! haha really? what dates did you need to know? I'm quite the disney trivia junkie...
