Just a few Questions... 1) I'm going out to Disney one week before my start date, do you think this is risky with the visa, or do you think i'll be ok? 2) Can we book a visa appointment now, for 4 weeks before our start date, or do we have to wait for the forms? 3) Can I request my visa forms to be sent earlier than 4 weeks if i am leaving earlier? Who do i ask, Disney or yummy jobs? 4) Also i know i have to let Disney know i'm arriving earlier, what details do i need to let them know? 5) How long does the visa take to process after your appointment at the London embassy? 6) Will i have a problem with getting an appointment at the embassy in time time with recieving the visa before i leave? Thats it for now thanks
1. You'll be fine, your entitled to enter america 30 weeks before your start date. 2.You have to wait for the forms. 3. No because after your visa apointment it should arrive quickly, then you can go 30 days before. 4. You most probably tell them that you will not be meeting any disney reps at the airport as you wil already in orlando 5.Not long, less than a week. (if its a J1) 6.If your having your appointment a month before your start date, then you will have it by the time you leave the UK
I can't go earlier than 30 days before though if they only send me the forms a month before hand, cos i'll need to get an appointment, wait for the visa etc. I was just worrying if 3 weeks before i go will be enough time. Thank you!
you should be fine we got told to book our interviews from the 10th october. and we go on dec 4th we didnt get our forms untill the end of october tho so if u have ur appointment booked for 3 weeks before u will be fine as it only takes about 2days for them to return it to u! good luck and il see u in a few months! xxx
I won't be able to book an appointment until the forms come. I'm guessing they will come in february some time, cos my start date is 11th march. However, i'm going a week earlier...i think thats why i'm worrying, roughly do you know what date the forms will come, and will yummy let us know when to book an appointment? I'm worrying so much over this lol, i just wanna go so bad! I'm doing the year cult rep program. xxx
if i remeber from this year, there wasnt much time between getting my passport back and going, i don't think. also, if you do go earlier, then get the number off the international arrivals team from yummy before you go so you can phone them when you are there and they will tell you where to go.
i think you get your forms faster than 4 weeks before. I'm pretty sure when I came out I'd had my visa for a few weeks by then and had made my appointment a month in advance of actually being at the embassy (and in ireland it took about 5 days for me to get my passport back). I think it's more like two months in advance I got my papers. But you do have to wait as the instructions are on them. I think. It's been a while since I did mine!
