okay I have a couple of quick questions if anyone can answer them :

    1. This is going to sound dumb but what happens if your on a cart n your own and you need to use the bathroom? Do you have to call someone to take over for you?

    2. During the downpours/Lightening and thunder storms what happens do you have to stay out in it?

    3. Do people ever actually sleep in the commons? Is it possible to sleep or are there always parties going on?

    4. How hot/cold are the bedrooms? Do we have ac in them that works?

    5. How clean/gross are the bathrooms

    6. How easy/hard is it to wash/iron your own uniform? I'm not the greatest at ironing i tend to hope the creases fall out lol. How picky are disney on the way your uniform is ironed? Do they expect specific creases and stuff like in the trousers or pleats in skirts?

    7. Do they still have throw ins? Will we have them?

    8. What happens when you arrive exactly - from what I've read we arrive at the airport and get met by Disney and then hang around until they take us to commons? then we sign some forms and are given a key and thats it? Does anyone meet us or show us where our rooms are? Will we be told anything about our room mates when we get given our keys?

    9. On the next day how do we find out where we go and stuff?

    10. Travelling to states - can we wear like casual stuff lieks shorts and Tee's or do we have to wear formal then as well?

    Cheers

    here we go...!!

    1. This is going to sound dumb but what happens if your on a cart n your own and you need to use the bathroom? Do you have to call someone to take over for you?

Never ran into this problem, but I assume you just call someone. I recall drinking litres of water when out on popcorn but you would sweat it all out in the sun anyway ;)

    2. During the downpours/Lightening and thunder storms what happens do you have to stay out in it?

I think it depends how close the lightening is, but we from the Canada popcorn cart would go inside after shutting down and merch did the same, even if it wasn't lightening and just raining. (saves the stock from being ruined.)

    3. Do people ever actually sleep in the commons? Is it possible to sleep or are there always parties going on?

Of course people sleep! :) Most people just don't sleep as much as they usually would and you adjust to having a very, very late bedtime :D

    4. How hot/cold are the bedrooms? Do we have ac in them that works?

As hot or cold as you want them! There is one a/c unit and control for the entire apartment.

    5. How clean/gross are the bathrooms

You clean your own bathrooms. Price Management is supposed to send people to clean them before a new person moves in but that doesn't always happen, and sometimes they do a rather slack job. My bathroom was gross when I moved in. The floor really needed to be replaced, same with the carpet throughout the apartment. The apts definitely were not spectacular, especially considering what you pay for them...

    6. How easy/hard is it to wash/iron your own uniform? I'm not the greatest at ironing i tend to hope the creases fall out lol. How picky are disney on the way your uniform is ironed? Do they expect specific creases and stuff like in the trousers or pleats in skirts?

You can just get a new costume everyday at work. I never, ever ironed my uniforms and often washed my own.

    7. Do they still have throw ins? Will we have them?

We had them when I left, although it was becoming qutie the challenge with security. As for whether you'll have one....? Probably.

I arrived in a car, but from what I know people from the programs office meet you, take you to housing, and then wave good-bye. You lug your own shit to your apartment and know nothing about your roommates.

    9. On the next day how do we find out where we go and stuff?

They give you a welcome packet when you get your apt key, it gives you an itinerary for everyday until you start work.

    10. Travelling to states - can we wear like casual stuff lieks shorts and Tee's or do we have to wear formal then as well?

    Where whatever you want!

Hope this helps.... have fun :)

disney look book will tell u bout ur nails. i think its like no longer than 1/4 inch past the nail bed. but i had quite long nails and nobody ever checked, but i guess diff managers may be stricter than others.

throw ins dont really happen anymore, well not like the proper throw ins ppl used to get, now they just have a meet and greet, where all the Uk's meet up and the newbies introduce themselves etc...thats wot ive been told anyway!

Biting nails is fine, I do it and never had a problem (then again maybe they care more for girls but I doubt it.)

after speaking to jilly about the bedding situation - we have to buy it all ourselves!! We only get the mattress apparently - its up to us to get pillows/duvets/covers etc etc - im taking a sleeping bag with me so that il have something for the 1st night,il be making a bee line for the wal mart on the 2nd day to get all my bits and pieces tho!!!
Apparently in America they dont actually have duvets - they just have things called comforters - like a duvet but with a cover attached to it - you can have a look on the wal mart website!!!! hope that helps! :)

'tis true you get NOTHING, but depending on your roomates (and your AC unit, mine was aparently broken), you might not need much more than a sheet and a warm (I had a fleece) blanket, thats all I used the whole time I was there. Depends on how hot you like to be when you sleep.

They don't have duvets? But they make a specific reference to it in Fight Club!! We have comforters here too. I've had a comforter most my life and only in the last 5 years did I get a duvet.

wow, nothing at all!? is even the mattress bare?? that sucks :-\

ah well i dunno - we just have duvets here in the UK - i think il just get a comforter and then get duvet covers to go over it and just use it like a normal duvet! its not something im going to worry about right now tho!!!
Im going over in April - what can i expect the weather to be like then?? will it be warm enough for shorts and tshirts???

iv never been to florida in april, but its warm enough in places like spain for shorts and tshirt in april, so i imagine it will be in florida! ;D
