i was wondering how long do we have to wait till we actually get to work in the park? do we have training first in another place or at the park?
There are different kinds of training. First of all, you have to take about 2 classes at Disney University and also Discovery Day... Then you have in location training where you get to wear a cute tag-thing that says "Earning My Ears". It depends on the location how long the training is, it should be about 3 days on average. This is when you first get to wear your beautiful costume... So you'll start training in location about a week after arrival...
It's gonna be funny with the new Canadians in June...with the recent merch/attractions split they don't know who's merch and who's in the attraction. If you're in merch, you'll have an additional day of training called Merchantainment at the university. You'll also have four days of on the job training opposed to two day in the attraction. So unfortunately, you won't really know until you get here....sorry! It's hard not knowing what to expect, but at least it's only ten days now!
