Hi Guys i was wondering how we are paid whilst working at Disney? Are we paid into an American bank account? How do i put some money in my UK Bank account whist im there?
We open a bank account when we arrive but we are payed in cheques which we have to cash ourselves. To transfer to your UK account, you could do it via online banking but there could be some charges on top of the terrible exchange rate. If you can, try to avoid needing your UK Bank Account
I have to agree with disneydude. open an american account, they usually get partners in during your induction and try to avoid transfering to your uk, not only do you have the exchange rate they will charge you to send the money. if you have to take the money in cash back with you and convert it, at least you will save on transfer fees then.
Daz, stop worrying seriously, all your options are explained out here. they do offer to pay you into an english account..can't tell you anymore because i stopped listening. But just listen to all the options
The trouble is i direct debits in the UK for insurance,Sky etc so can i get a cheque book in the USA and send one home to put into my UK bank account? Im not panicing Jess ive just got alot to sort out i like to be organised and sorted!
Your better off having the money in your UK bank before you leave so you don't have to worry about it in Florida. Luckily my Phone contract ends in June, Gym membership ends in July and broadband i can cancel whenever i want meaning i'm not going to have any out goings while in Florida. Also means i can come back to the UK and start a clean slate

Good idea il do that! Lee some of us are a little older and have commitments in the UK so i have direct debits to pay you see!
