    Hey guys,

Im planning on applying for the CRP UK Pavilion this January and have been doing plenty of vlog watching/blog reading recently getting myself all geared up for it!!

There is one thing im confused over and its to do with room mates - I thought youd be put in an apartment with people who started the same time as you and these would be your room mates for the whole year.... is this not the case??
I understand if people term this wouldnt be the case but can you sometimes arrive and be put in with people who have already been there for say 6 months??

Thank you for any help!! <3 xox

You will be put in an apartment with space in it, so you could end up being roomates with people who have been there for ages! In my first apartment my actual roomate finished her program a week after I arrived. There are occasions where you might move into an apartment with another newbie so you might not be on your own, but by the end of your first week you'll have met all the people in your arrival group and will know where they all live so don't worry too much about it. On the CRP I had three different apartments and I rarely spent time in my first one. The second one I was living with a friend and I really liked our other roomates so I spent more time there, and in my final apartment I lived in a one bed so only had one other roomate and she was my friend anyway so spent more time there as I was one of the only people amongst our close friends that had a one bed.

So all in all, don't worry about it. Before long you'll know people that you want to live with and will know how to move apartments and such.

Just to add, they do try and move people with the same start date in together. This is why they move people if the occupancy drops below 50% (ie. If you're in a 6 person and 4 of them move out, the remaining 2 would probably get moved elsewhere by housing so they can have an entire empty apartment to move people into).

Me and my flatmates all started the same day. My roommate and I finished the same day, but the other 2 (Japanese), for some reason their program was 14 months, so they stayed. I went off on my travels and came back before going home to check for my post...there were 2 new people in my apartment...it was very odd!

I was the only one of my friends who never moved! (Commons for life ;))
