I've applied for the J1 Academic program, this program requires some sort of cooperation from your school... Which basically means Yummy Jobs is going to contact your school. I spoke to Jason and he's going to contact my tutor tomorrow or the day after. Jason said he'd contact me asap after he speaks to my tutor, but since I'm a bit over-excited right now and don't want to keep bothering Yummy Jobs I was just wondering if any of you had any idea what they'd have to talk about.
They'll probably just ask whether your actually at school and thats about it..It can't be that important..I've already been on the program..so i just sent them a letter when i was last on the program and thats it..I didn't even need to do anything this time..
Cool, I hope that's all they have to talk about then. My school hasn't been too interested in speaking to Yummy Jobs so far, so if they have to do more than that I doubt I'll get to do the program. argh. *crosses fingers*
I know what you mean . QM have been very 'unhelpful' and rudely abrupt. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Jason said he'd talk to them for me ( :-*) for which i'm super greatful, because if I have to explain this once more, I am going to start to throw things. *fingers crossed for the both of us*
Have you heard anything from Jason yet? I haven't heard anything yet and I'm very tempted to email him to see if he's spoken to my tutor.. but I don't want to sound impatient again... so I suppose I'll wait until tomorrow. :-X
Just tell him that your checking up..Because off the record you know how unreliable your tutor is or something.. He will understand, he's a cool guy..
Yeah, so I've emailed Jason saying how I know one of my previous emails never reached him and my tutors first email never reached him, so I was just checking to see whether maybe he did email me and the email never got to me. *fingers crossed again* I hope he replies soon. edit: I just got an email back from Jason saying he had a long discussion with my tutor last friday. He's now waiting for approval from Central Michigan University on my school being part of the program, but since CMU hasn't contacted him yet he's going to try to get an answer from them again today. I'm so confused... they never told me CMU had to allow my school to be a part of the program, or why CMU has to do that. I don't even know which program they think I'm applying for now. I wasn't planning on going to CMU, I thought I was staying in Orlando the entire program. Argh..
So after months of emailing back and forth I get a message from Jason today... I can't do the program because I'm studying to become an English teacher. I'm a little pissed right now, they could have told me that months ago, i told them my field of study in my very first email.
