The summer program is way too short. I can't stand the thought of leaving so soon.

    What Brynna says...:)

In seriousness, she is very correct...three months is way too short when your having so much fun. The only negative I can see for the J1 Academic Program is the academic side - you have to pay tuition fees to Central Michigan University, which will eat up some of the money your getting. Other than that, if you can spare a year (and sadly a year wouldn't fit in with my studies), I'd go for it.

    thanks for that!

is the fact you need to study while on the program annoying? is there a big workload?

because i guess what i like the thought of with just doing the summer program is that it doesnt affect my uni really..unless i decide to take a semester off and go for the full 4 months...

but also the fact that you just go over, work and have fun! and not have to worry about doing essays and presentations and stuff haha

    Hi Aussie_Girl

I did the IP in 2000 and I have to say: You won't have time for University at all.... no time to study and no time to write essays. The time you have away from work, you want to see things, you want to enjoy Orlando, experience all the funny things there... so you better do the year and enjoy that... even that time passes way toooo quick.

    Have fun
