hey girls right here goes lol the flight you have to expect to pay upto $1000 *as it varies with the season* but disney book it for you, you only get confirmation on price, time, and details after your visa has been approved as has the majority of people flying with you. Like i don't have mine yet but should do nxt week i hope i know the guys who went in march paid $620 for their flights in terms of luggage it depends on the airline but the standard is 70kg n total between 2 large cases, *remember thats max taking and max bringing back* so im allowin for my shoppin ill buy there so probs half filling in terms of weight and u can take one hand luggage plus a personal possession which can be handbag, laptop etc xxx
cheers sara...............thatsgood news...as i have two suitcases and huge hand luaggae......im gunna struggle carrying those things..ah well..LOL
nat u have huge hand luggage? u can only have 6kg and a certain size if i remember correctly or they wont let u take it, so id double check with it mate xxx
I had to pay £618 for a return flight from Manchester leaving may 31st. Plus had to pay a £22 fuel surcharge. The flight is so expensive really hurt my budget! If you want to stay in america after your contract though disney will only book the flight there and you'll have to book your return flight. All though doing that is very expensive that's why i decided to come straight back to the UK and not travel USA! Liz xxx
i really dont understand wats happened to the way they do things now with the international programme people and their travel..... wen we all went out disney booked your flights for you, and u either went from manchester or london (if u were not near to any of those then it was ur responsibility to get to that destination and once u got to disney u gave them the receipt of the travel to the airport (if it was a flight or long train journey that is) and then you could either reimburse disney straight away in the clubhouse on your first full day for the flight, or you could pay it weekly out of your pay check..... and then at the end of the programme you got that whole amount back (so if u like it was kinda a guarantee that you stayed there the whole year cos you would end up getting your full amount back)..... they call it the relocation cheque and if youre not enjoying the job and u wanna self terminate then its the one thing that stops you from terminating your contract. you get several sorta of things put into that final pay check and its usually nice and big, mine was about 1200 dollars and included the money that i had given disney for the flight over the the usa and a few other things which i cant really remember.... it seems they ahve completely changed the way that travel is done now tho with people from uk booking and paying for their flights before they go??? dont understand, it was so much easier to let disney book adn pay for them and u reimbursed disney, that way u didnt have to break the bank before you even went to florida ??? Laura
Yeah it costs well loads. i've prob spent around £2000 now before i've even got there. Disney book your flight but you have to send them the cheque and you don't get the money back :'( I've worked out with what i get paid it's actually costing me money to go out and work there but its all worth it ;D
i guess youre on the international programme thing right???? do disney pay for your flight back to uk or is the flight that you ahve booked a return flight??? theres not really much incentive to go and work at disney fi you end up forking out huge amounts i wouldnt have been able to manage to get to disney if i had had to pay, im now only just paying the last of my credit card bill for my year in disney and i arrived home in august 2004!!! it was an expensive year because you want to have fun, you wanna be able to buy wat the hell you want and wen you want it you know??? and i dont regret for one second putting any money on a credit card, cos i had a hell of a lot of fun and even tho a lot over the last few months i have been so fed up of having debt, its been totally worth it, i just transferred the balance of my old credit card to a halifax one that had 9 months interest free and so havnt paid any interest so its all been free money and delayed spending!! lol
yep on the international summer programme. I know we have to pay for everything ourselves whats worst is they book you on the flight so you don't have a choice otherwise i wud have gone with a cheaper company not Delta!
