Pool, Gym, Internet Facilities

Is there a pool and gym in each apartment complex, how far away are they? Where are the Internet PC's? Are they close to the apartments?

 

In the Commons, the pool, gym and computer room are all located in the clubhouse. I think there are 5 or 6 computers (you can go to Vista Way where there are more). The gym only has a few pieces...a couple of bikes, treadmill, weight machine...I was only in there twice I think so I can't really remember!!! The clubhouse is also where the bus stop is and the bank machine.

As far as I own, about the Internet facilites.
There is cable on the apartments, and I have also heard the common room for internet
is always crowded.
So if u can take or buy a lap top, I am sure it will help A LOT.

I also heard that we can buy a license to use the hotels's gyms????
I dont know if it is true. But bet they are bigger than the one in the Commons.

yeah u can use the disney gym, located in one of the resorts *well im sure ive heard that somewhere* and yeah laptop is easier considerin every apartment has internet access.

thats y i'm taking my laptop so i can keep my research blog up and running for final year uni work!

About bringing laptops, will the voltage difference be a problem?

 

Back in 2000 we had web tv, which was a very slow but cheap way of going online in the apt.'s but i heard they changed that now. If you got your own laptop you should def. bring it as the place at the clubhouse is always crowded and it just sucks cause people are constantly waiting and you can't go in there at all times. As for the other facilities, the Commons has a great pool area and a pretty nice gym, too. It's quite crowded in the evenings but I knew many people who went there ( I didn't LOL ). There are tennis courts, volleyball and basketball fields as well as soccer fields. You can go inline skating and jog and if that's not enough for you, you can also get a pass for one of the disney hotels gym.

Oh yeah it definitely helps you in the beginning when you are kinda homesick. After a while you won't find time to check emails and surf through the net though. There is so much fun stuff to do in Florida.
And in the end you will start checking emails again, cause of the people who left the Commons before you and that you want to keep in touch with

yeah im takin my laptop for contacting people. and uploading photos from my digital camera so can store them on there, as well as keep up with the little bit of uni work i have 2 do while there!

im taking my laptop too! mainly for emailing people and using with my digital camera, i cant wait to take pics and email them home to family.

 

...and it's so funny when you send them pictures and only after a little time they will tell you how much you have changed. You definitely see it after the year too.

You can lock your laptop in your locker...unless it's HUGE...mine fit. I locked it up for the first little while, then when I trusted my roomies enough I'd leave it in my room so they could use it. There were only three of us then and I knew most of their friends who would ever be over, so it was alright.

Thanks Shan yeah im really hoping to do that till i know everyone - its only a 12 inch laptop so will fit assuming my roommate doesnt have a laptop too - then i'll have to figure out where else to put it.

mines a compact, 13" widescreen lightweight one so it should fit
