Any opinions from current participants on what Pleasure Island is like for a night out. Is it too family friendly and open to all ages? It looks almost hilarious from the website. Also, can cast members get free entry to any clubs?
it is really fun! at the moments cast members get in Sunday - Thursday for free but on certain nights such as thursday you gotta be 21 and up to get into manequins. Such a good time there, but dont drink there if you are under 21 cos you will most likely get caught and definatly termed.
pleasure island is the best place on earth! jelly shots in beach club! spinning dance floor in mannaquins! PJ's shots in Motion! Decent music in 8 trax! and buckets ( honestly! ) of really really nice drinks! (try the crazy red head, its too die for!)
from what i remember (and thats not much thanks to the bar staff at PI) they do different nights mon-thurs CM's get in for free, i think it was just thurs when some of the clubs turned just over 21's, i know Mondays was for everyone and is by far the best night to go out
i didnt get to see the loverly Princess Donna Marie for the last month so she may no longer be with us, but god knows, she was prob just hiding from us, and who can blame her! ;D
haha to be fair, for the last month i was only really at PI after uk lasses so i was always wasted so i may have seen her, or maybe not :-\ look out for her in feb haha
I saw her in the last week she kept asking after you Simon, it was always 'where's the other one' never 'Hi Trev' Hopefully her Clinta and Wash will still be there whenever I make it back. Especially Wash as his drinks were always lethal.
OK. You win. Sounds awesome. Disney really need to revamp that part of the website and their promo videos then. And if I get on the programme for October, I'll already be 22 so it's drinky drinky for me.
Oh Jilly, how did I miss getting to know you on the first program! We would've had so much fun together ... we'll do it right the second time ... which for me is coming up crazy fast!!! PI was my home twice a week. Thursday is a good night to go to Motions (18+) and ... wait HoB isn't actually PI but ... Sunday nights are fabulous at House of Blues (18+ for the girls 21+ for the boys) ... it's Downtown Disney, but it's down by Cirque Du Soiel (which is also fab). I guess I'm going to add a third night to my line up Canadian Girlz on Mondays! The Beach Club is great for live music of the rock persuasion, Mannequins spinning dance floor is a must-see ... 8 Tracks is fun music but a little older crowd, BET I was only in once ... and I really only used the bathroom and left ... but it looked like fun. Adventures Club is a good place to sit and have a drink where conversation is possible ... or to just get your wristband and hand stamp cause their line is usually shorter! Can't wait to be back ... although I had a great time on a Pubcrawl Friday night and at my local Country Bar *laugh* Saturday night ... so I've kept partying in spite of my PI withdrawl!
If it was the Longbranch... ha, half of my friends live there I'm so bummed I won't be legal age over in America land, but as long as I can at least get in I can have good ol PG14 fun. I suppooooose.
"wheres the other one" ? ? ? cheeky B****y madame! how dare she! how many times did we drunkenly slur our names to her! how hard can it be to remember two people out of the six she ever served! she wont be getting a tip next time i see her! i just want another one of PJ's buckets - that was lethal, it was 9 drinks in 1, god bless em.
haha mara i have no idea how we didnt meet each other apart from the time i saw u at HOB..i was at HOB every sunday and usually PI on thursdays! and i was a bit of a cheat and went to UK lasses every monday even tho i didnt work in the UK pavillion..we had a joint halloween lasses with canadian girlz, that was fun! will deffo see u around the commons some time!
