I am just curious for current Cps and former Cp's how many pieces of lugagge did you bring down? I am thinking about probably bring down three big suitcases and a medium size carry-on, but then again i am a person who packs heavy. When I went to Jamaica for 6 days a big suit case wasn't enough for me. So can you all give some insights thanks.
You would have to figure out ;D airlines will allow. Most only allow something like 2 suitcases and a carry on. I think I am much like you.....PACK WAY TO MUCH!! This time however, I KNOW that I will be NOT putting that theory to work!! I will ONLY be bringing 2 and a carry-on!! I am throwing away TONS of stuff and will be purchasing things there!!! Hope that helped ya out!!
First of all.. ...think that most of the day you'll wear a uniform.. ..so you don't REALLY need SO MUCH stuff!!! Take lots fo t-shirts and summer clothes but not forget to take some jumpers and a jacket too!!! 2 big suitcases (23Kg each max if I am right) will be enough.. ...you only have 2 hands... ...so I don't think you'll be able to take more... ...and remember that you can find many cheap things there.. ...so don't take all your wardrobe with you.. at the end you don't need it!!! ..hope this will help!
Jumpers and a jacket?? OK, how "cold" can it get in Florida? I'm there from June- Sept. I'm from Scotland so our summer temp is probably Florida when its "cold"! I was just planning on shorts and t-shirt...
It can get coooooooold. They have had frost (although that is unusual). Not to mention the freezin AC! You sooo need a big comfy jumper whever you go to the cinema. ;D Don't forget that you will very quickly aclimatize aswell. Take a jumper and a jacket. You'll buy a few more I'm sure when you are down there. If you are there just for the summer, I'd say just take a jumper with you. Wear it on the plane. You know how cold it can get on there. It's not gonna be cold in June-Sep but like I said it's good to have for evenings and for the AC. Ona x
What is "AC"??? I was also wondering to look for air-free packages to reduce down the space that jackets and jumpers require... ..hope to find something at the mall!
AC= airconditioning. In the winter it can get really cold in Orlando, I know this from many vacations there. I've never been in the summer, but I'm pretty sure it's going to freaking hot. I'm bringing a couple sweatshirts just in case though. AirConditioning can get really cold. As for those bags that make ur stuff smaller. You can always get giant ziploc bags, shove some stuff in it then squeeze all the air out. That makes the stuff take less space.
I hate AC most of the time, I'm already really cold all the time and AC never helps. I'm soo scared I'm not going to pack enough or pack too much...it's my biggest concern but the ziploc baggie thing actually sounds like a pretty slick idea!! OOH! BTW! ONA!! One of my really good friends, Michele, says Hi! She's Claire's Granddaughter.
I brought 2 of those bags this past visit to Disney........... You can buy them at WAL~MART......they are in the household section.......around the laundry baskets and such........$20 Cnd..........they work well HOWEVER........air tends to release so take that into consideration!! I think pack LIGHT and BUY THERE!!
well a pair of shorts, sandals, a swimsuit, and the plastic for buying disney clothes is just about all you need
are the zip lock bags just like the vacume bags?? i have used the vacume ones once and i didnt find them that great they go all hard and crinkly and didnt seem to take up less space ... maybe i was just doing it wrong ... any ideas anyone that has used them?? also does any uk people know where i could buy cheap big suitcases?? thanx kerri xxxxx
Hey Kerri, I got my suitcase from Matalan, its big and pink, and expandable which is always good!! They had silver, pink or St George flag in various different size. Mine was £35 but think they are abit less in a sale at the moment. Also, morrisons have had some in the past which seem to be quite good aswel. Hope that helps. x
thanx nicola ... good help ... i think i will take a trip to matalan on friday ( pay day ;D woo! ) and have a look!! cheers, kerri x
Jei, Michele...Michele... ??? Claire Bird's Granddaughter? Or Dolly? So confused. Lol. Easily done. I am getting on a bit. ;D Yeah it's those bags you can hoover the air out of. ;D But my less expensive version is get some press'n'seal (ziploc) bags (you know... the ones for the freezer ;D) and use a straw! ;D Oh my! The St. George's one! Now that's like the dictionary definition of scuzzy! ;D Ona x
Hmm...Michele Niles, she said something about you being her cousin but not blood related. Not sure, she didnt give a whole lotta information, just that she wanted me to tell you she says "hi". Does, Michele with the daughter Marie, help?
OMG!!! We're not talking WDWIP "granddaughter"! : ;D ;D ;D How bizarre is that! Yeah Michele's Gran Clare (I'm called after her, my middle name) is my gran's sister!!! Technically we're 2nd cousins (I think! lol) but by marriage. If that makes sense Lol! My mum was just out visiting them in Whiterock last month! OMG! It's soo true...... IT REALLY IS A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!!! ;D ;D ;D Ona x
