Do we have phones in the apartments ?
Can I call my fds in the other state-California . Do I have to pay for it?

 

I don't know about having phones, but its best to get a cell phone.

You are only able to make local free calls, as Jimbo said, best way is to get a mobile.

Oh . I thought I would be able to contact my fds in the USA and Canada.
My Canadian fd will come to visit me. I guess I can ONLY use MSN , ICQ or E mail to contact her

 

No, I said local calls, that only applies to Orlando, FL

Your friends can call you as much as they'd like, though.  You can also buy phone cards to make long distance calls from your apartment.

Yeah i think phone cards are the best way to keep in touch with your family & friends back home, the cards are very cheap and you can be on the phone for a long time with one $ 10 o $ 20 dlls card

Dont worry at all..... when you arrive florida you will be just fine!!!!! there are a lot of people that like you have never been to florida, and some of the things they will tell you at the disney clasess and some other will be told by the people from your same country at your work location.
But as i said before... dont worry... you will be fine and the phone cards are sold by castmembers in the same place.

 

and if you end up with a cool room mate they may let you use there cell phone. Almost every one gets free nights and weekends and free calling anywhere in side the USA.

hey melissa,its totally up to you,were staying for the summer,You may find it cheaper to buy phone cards.Bt if you after ringuing for a long time,most days,maybe u should geta mobile.....i was considering it..still am ........ ;D

as we are living right next to the shopping mall, there is a newsagents where you can buy phone cards. For $10 to the Uk you get around 200 minutes. Should be around the same for Hong Kong. The ones for Walmart are great, as you can just top it up when you go shopping. Dont call mobiles from it though, cause it will eat all your money up in seconds!!!

yep, you can get them in all denominations, from $10 US dollars to $50, and then top it up with however much you want - but be careful that you dont over use them!!!!!!!

 

ill b gettin a phone card, ive decided, although my parents will end up calling the apartment phone all the time i know it lol
