So I was reading the site and read that after your 3 month Probabtion you get your Disney Gold Pass which allows you to get family into the parks and so on and so forth, but what about yourself do you get into the park for free right away or after your three months? Could a current cast member enlighten me please.
hi!!! until i know u are allowed to get into for free right away u only need your disney ID that is one of the first tramits u make cuz u need it too for commons so dont wory , but the passes for your family and friends is after your threes months XOXO :-* :-* :-* Ely :-* :-* :-*
Well I am SO not a CURRENT member and I am NOT sure if I shouldbe OFFENDED or not?? BUT...I do know that AS SOON AS YOU GET YOUR DISNEY ID your GOOD TO GO!! That is like....the FIRST or SECOND DAY you arrive??? ??? ??? If you do alittle searching you will find the newest group posting a day by day account of what happens when you arrive and it's in there!! You get 12 passes during your stay for friends and family that you can SIGN IN!! Hotel discounts ASAP........you can get a room for like $30!!! ;D
you get ur disney id 4 days after u arrive then u are free to go anywhere u like in the parks. i got my family pass after 3 weeks to get them in
Cool, so you still get your Gate Pass (for friends and family) almost immediately by the sounds of what Ian said.... Normally from what I understand its a 3 month waiting period, but I know from friends that During the Happiest Homecoming/Celebration on Earth they were issuing gate passes straight away. I should be arriving at the tail end of the Happiest Celebration on Earth so hopefully i'll get mine quick too Of course my Cast ID is far more important, as long as I can get in the parks, what else matters? LOL
what hotel would that be? i had a look at the disney hotels and even with the discount they are like 50-80 $ i have friends comming in Feb and i want them to have it as cheap as possible LOL
I'd like to have further info about this topic.. ...my friends would like to join me there.. and a cheap accomodation will be perfect for them!!! if anyone know something more about it... ...i'll be very grateful!! cheers!
WEll when we were having our F2F, Jeff was telling us that there were CERTAIN TIMES OF THE YEAR that you could get a room for $50??? Even if they WERE between $50-$80 it is STILL a hell of alot cheaper then the usual cost!!
I am going to assume they are saying $50 based on double occupancy per room. So the room would most likely come with 2 Queen beds, and it would be $50 smackers a night for it.
This sounds much more better!! LOL I also hope to find US low cost company in order to book some tickets for a couple of friends!!!
Someone told me a long time ago that once you get your portal password you can book a hotel room for your friends and family for 40% off. If you stay at the hotel with them you get it for 50% off.
Really?!?!? That's great... ...as the flight is quite expensive (about 900$ from and back to Italy) saving up some money thanks to cheap accomodation is awsame!!
Indeed. Infact, at certain times of the year, it can be up to 60%! ;D The cheapest Disney resorts are the All stars and Pop Century. Their rates start at $79 per room (not per person) per night. So with discount............... 'tis fab. Cast members also get discounts at all sorts of non-disney hotels. Finding cheap accomodation is not going to be a problem. Ona x
I agree with Colin, your Disney ID is all you really need... I mean your friends and family are just trying to mooch off you anyways I dunno if it is just us summer programmers, but we got our "Blue pass" right away, maybe because we're only here for like 3 months anyways so making us wait for a 3 month probationary period is kinda harsh. But the pass allows us to bring up to 3 guests into parks for 6 days total. So if you've got lots of friends and family coming to see you, use it wisely!
Matt, any idea if the regular CPs (as opposed to the ICPs) are getting their maingates right away too? :-\ Thank yooooooooooooou. Ona x
I'm not sure, most of the people I know are ICP's, but I can try and find out... by CP's do you mean US College Program people, or like Cultural Reps?
