Hello everyone. I was wondering if someone could tell me if Spanish people (from Spain) are able to apply for a work at Walt Disney World, since we are no represented at the World Showcase. I'm a cast member at Disneyland Resort Paris since 2003 and I really enjoy it, but ever since my January visit to Walt Disney World I've been wanting to try and spend a year there. Does anyone know if we can apply and, if so, what can we do there, please? Thanks!
if your contry isnt represented in the world showcase then as far as i know u couldnt work there... unless there is some other way of obtaining a visa.. i dunno tho, but this is what ive heard from other people x
It's very similar to what Jilly said but theres actually a larger list than just the world showcase... if you're country is not listed here then you are ineligable http://www.disney.go.com/DisneyCareers/wdwcareers/international/options.html Unfortunatly Spain is not listed.
it's sooo unfair! Spain is such a beautiful country! why don't include it in the world showcase I am Italian and I feel so close to spanish culture.... que tonteria, lo siento muchissimo! Nam
Supposidly (sp?) Disney are in Talks with Spain at the moment to include it in the world showcase (according to this report thing i have) so maybe in a couple of years you'll be allowed to do it Mhairi
On the contrary, you CAN apply! (Ireland's not in World Showcase... but I've got a job at WDW!) Just send your application to International Recruitment Post Office Box 10090 Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-0090 Fax Number: 407-828-3330 That address, I found at http://www.disney.go.com/DisneyCareers/wdwcareers/international/apply.html#allothers Note that I didnt apply to that address, but to Yummyjobs (the UK agent), so your application might be accepted by the French agent, for example... But I dunno, whichever you'd prefer, I suppose... KC
yeah, the countries in the link Jorden gave are for World Showcase or Animal Kingdom, but there are many many other countries who can work there! (Jorden careful not to discourage people if you don't know all the facts for sure :-[ ) Like KC-Kevin said, apply to there. I know an Australian girl who worked there for a few months a few years ago as well. Good luck!
Sorry about that Tessa, I thought that was the facts :-\ Again sorry to everyone my mistake, I thought those were the only forign countries Disney hired from.
*chuckles* I'm sure we'll be able to forgive you Jorden... In the future... With time... *dramatically sobs into handkerchief* KC
Thank you all, I've already contacted the french agency to see if I can apply with them, if not I'll try the Lake Buena Vista one. KC, what kind of job did they offer to you?
man it would be so cool if they did a spain bit..i love spain!!! i even got my call from yummi jobs while in barcelona!! hows that for a good luck country i heard they were also in talks with russia....anyone hear similar or more...that would also be excellent
There have been sooooo many rumours about new countries for world showcase. Spain in particular, was a very big player in the rumour mill a couple of years ago. But unfortunately, the bottom line is, that a new country will not be built without the sponsorship from the governments of the countrys involved. :-\ Ona x
yeah i know. but how amazing would it be if russia was right next to america!!!!!! come on russian government dudes..get yer finger oot
Yeah I know what you mean. I'd actually love to see an Ireland Pavilion. To be honest, I'm amazed there wasn't one originally. The Americans LOVE the Irish. Or Austrailia...or...Brazil.... Ona x
a bit contraversial but i think it would be good to sea an Iraq or Iran...something to encourage understanding...etc...they should have more scotland in britain too!! but Ireland would be fantastic!!!!!!ooohhh or Peru!!
Operations. I'm really hoping that'll turn out to be attractions though... KC P.S. I really want an Ireland pavilion too!
