Peace and Quiet?!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys was wondering if there are party's happening in the Commons and there are folk working the next day early trying to sleep what would you suggest?! I can imagine being exhausted after a hard day and most of the time I will want to join in but I bet I speak for a lot of people when I say there will be times where you need to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really hoping I will be most of the time but my aunts friend is over there just now and she said they really work you to the bone. I know that sometimes you do get shattered and you will end up sleeping through anything!!!!! To be honest though i'm more worried about disturbing other people!!!! :-[ :

 

oh yeah im more worried about disturbing people, i am quite loud, think i will have to pipe down a bit lol

I think Lindsey said the Uk pavillion doesnt open till 11am, and some shifts will prob be afternoon - till evening - im sure people will go out a lot too! gives everyone a chance to have a lie-in if u dont start till afternoon.

I think im prepared for the hard work i had to work 11 hr days last summer 5 and a half days a week for canvas hols. We had to do everything on the holiday park - so it taught me a lot about hard work! I might have the odd quiet day... guess i'll see how i cope with it when i get there!

Yeah they might need us there a bit b4 that. but compared to my visions of 7am starts! I think i Sara and Lindsey would know better that UK pavillion is furthest side of epcot so takes longer for customers to get there!

yeah its the otherside of the lake, world showcase opens later than the rest, i cant remember what the time is but if linz said 11am its probs right, but i expect u need to be there incase of in merch fillin. stackin etc. and in f&b we might have to do a clean around and prep before, could c it bein around 9-10 we'd start but im sure alumni would confirm times etc

YEAH IT OPENED AT 11AM WHEN I WAS THERE LAST, THAT WAS OCTOBER THOUGH AND THE PARKS WERE DEAD. ALTHOUGH I SEEM TO REMEMBER IT HAVING BEEN 11 IN THE PAST TOO. NOT TOO SURE.

YEAH I THINK YOUR PROBABLY RIGHT SARA,THERE WILL BE FILLING ETC TO DO. BUT IF INVERNESS IS ANYTHING TO GO BY, FOOD PEEPS MIGHT BE A LITTLE EARLIER THAN MERCH. THEY WILL PROBABLY BE IN EARLIER THAN MERCHS PREPARING AND STUFF! AND OH..THE CLEANING WE HAVE TO DO IN THE CAFE....URGH! THANK GOD OUR JOB DOESNT INVOLVE FOOD CAROL! WE ALWAYS HAVE TO START EARLIER THAN PEOPLE THAT WORKING IN SHOPS!SUCKS!

I remember waitressing - folding all those serviettes and setting the cutlery out! Still thats prob not until ur a server.
Im not a morning person so even starting at 10 sounds good! Next week im working two mornings starting at 7.30! ouch!

when we firs opened the cafe it was 7am starts as we had to bake all the cakes and we were all new at it so it took 2 hrs!
it was hell! i remeber one morning i had booked a taxi for 6.30. it went to redBURN avenue instead of redWOOD avenue. ah that much stress at that time is just not good for the human body!.

on the bright side the earliest anyone starts these days is 8, but i usually do closes, which is a 12 noon start...luxuary!

about peace and quite it's gonna be hard from time to time when your in bed only wanting to sleep and your roommates spontanious decided to have a party at your appartment with all there friends (thats tough happend to me)....
but like you say it's gonna be the other way around aswell so it's gonna even out and you will just have to figure out a way with your roomies how to handle it .

about the uk pavillion yes you are right it is one of the further away pavillions from the main entrance
but you might see where this is going it's the closest to international gateway where the guests also can and will get in to epcot.....sorry
