partying

hello guys,
i was thinking and wondering while i read these boards. i really am not a partying person. i enjoy having a good time with friends and doing fun stuff, but i dislike loud, crazy, obnoxious, annoying, off the wall gatherings....maybe i'm a stick in the mud. but i was wondering if there was anyone else going to florida with other things on their minds then partying? (that doesn't sound right...i'm sure lots of people are, right?!)
i would really like to make really good friends, and i enjoy parties, but not all the time...
i really want to learn about other cultures and represent canada to my best. but i also want to get along with everyone (especially my roommates) without having to be a homebody!
ugh...to me this sounds kind of mean...i don't know how else to say it...i'm sorry if i hurt anyones feelings.

I think we all go to Disney to learn and have fun, and fun it's not only about getting drunk or party a lot, we can have fun while going shopping, or while we spend a day somewhere around the beach or just hanging out with friends.

So don't worry about it!

howdy, we're almost in the same boat,
I love to party, (yes those parties you spoke of)
but can't handle a bunch of them.... couple of times a weak is OK.
I also love to sit around with friends, talking, having a good time,
going to a movie, taking a bite down town, going to the beach.... that kinda stuff...
I'm not going to florida to party, that I can do at home.
when in florida, I'll do everything I can't do at home...

I would also love to learn about cultures.... and hopefully learn some german (as I know the basics, just need to ... you know..)...

 

I wouldn't worry too much, Mallory....I think you'll find lots of people who enjoy doing other things as well as partying..such as sightseeing, relaxing at the beach or the pool, shopping, eating out, etc. You'll have a blast!!! ;D

 

HEY - well i didnt even no about any of these parties or anything until i found this website, and before that all i wanted to do was work for disney (for years and years) i like a god party but these ppl saying they are going to be partying every nite - well thats jus not for me, im also a great lover of my sleep and without enough of it not only do i look realy bad but i feel really bad to, so there is gonna beplenty of times where im jus going to come in from work and go straight to bed and there will be other times when i wil want to go out for a meal or something (or hav a girly nite watching a film eating popcorn etc) with my new found friends (wherever u are?) so im the same malory - i wont be doing it all the time either ;D

and i'm about the same, just like what kelly said, before i actually read all the posts here, all i wanted to do is make new friends, represent my hometown, work for Disney and some travelings with cool people!

parties are just a bonus to me, plus i aint gonna waste most of my $$ on drinks just to get myself into a popular party gal! since we can always do that at home!!

we can always go shopping, doing girly stuff, girls chatting, movies, chill... etc! ;D

im a person who's really into sleeping (lol) but i can also be a night owl... but seriously, i do look awful if i couldnt get much sleep! lol...

 

malory come out with me hun and we can go for a meal etc one nite instead of havin parties ;D

No worries- you sound a lot like me from that post- I don't mind doing parties some times- but theres so much other stuff as well to do there! And I need my sleep definitely- I get really grumpy otherwise hehe- that's not going to be good for work!

when i first found this webpage i was seriously thinking about not going cuz what i read made me feel like...you know...maybe its not the right place for me to be at! now im getting more excited the longer im reading ya'lls statements......its cool......
to all the dez. 6th leavers: anyone who wants to learn some german and be in an apartment with a crazy lil somtime childish acting( who cares...we are at disney right ?!)german girl( who by the way does not look like 19 at all ;D) let me know and we might become roommates!

I could teach you Norwegian... ;D ;D
It's very easy, we had an exchange student in my class once,
after three or four months, he knew the language...

id love to learn German as well.. but heard its one of the most difficult languages to learn! haa

yeah, german grammar is hard, but german reading and writing is simple, takes about two minutes to learn... ;D

i am from germany as well...............and it is true.................it is hard to learn...........
but we will have a lot of time at WDW............... so just look for me or mandy we will give ya private lessons lol ;D
