This site quotes that, 'After your probationary period (3 months) you get a Main Gate Pass. It allows entry for up to four people (including yourself) to any of the the four main parks, for up to 12 days a year. That means that you can get your family or friends into the parks up to 12 times a year. You also get 50% off admission to waterparks and Pleasure Island (with a few exceptions). You also get 20% off merchandise and restaurant meals. Discounts at the resorts vary by season, but are typically 30-50% off rack rate, if available. Catch a lucky break and you could be staying at a Disney resort for $40!' Is this probationary period applicable for summer ICP? - We only get 3 months there anyway! Is there a shorter prob period or do I just have to break the news gently to my dad that he can't get into disney cheap/free? He will be devastated! He *almost* loves it more than I do!
i got my main gate pass at traditions which was in the 1st week there are black out dates with the main gate and the discounts but you will find out all about that when you get there. i know that at the waterparks you could only get a discount after a certain time and if they were full you wouldnt get in, the main gate is cool as when you get your family in its a park hopper ticket which is great as you save so much money for your family
For ICP we got 6 days, for 3 members of your family, basicaly everytime you sign in sum1, they get a 1 day hopper pass for the 4 parks. I don't think you can get much discount off the water parks because its peak time. The food discount is not that good, thers a catch wer you get 20% off but no matter the size of your party, you have to pay an 18% tip, so really you oni get 2% off full service meals, theres not alot of quick service restaurants you can get a discount off. But the 20% of merchandise is really good, and theres alot of places outside of disney wher u can get discounts for bein a cast member. The hotel discounts are all based on if there's availability for when you want the hotel. Also cast connection and property control, you can get some good bargains in there!
Oo thanks much appreciated! so 6 days for 3 people... they don't have to all be at the same time do they? And I guess you can't have 2 people for 9 days? They must keep track of the names of who signs in... Finally (last question about this I promise) when those free days have run out I don't suppose you get discounted tickets for the main parks do you? That would be a bit too friendly maybe! This tipping is so confusing I'll get the hang of it I suppose!
you can get dicounted tickets at company d, but to be honest, there are ticket companies such as attraction tickets direct or ticket mania who sell them with a greater discount.
Or, if you're family is coming from the UK...get them to buy them over here....they are far cheaper than the US ones!
You basically get 18 1 day hopper passes, but on 1 day a maximum of 3 people can enter, they dnt have to be the same 3 people everytime, thers no record of your family or friends entering the park, but you have to physically be there, showing your main gate pass and your blue family pass, they each get a hopper ticket each.
its easy. you can get people in for free on any 6 days. On each of those days you get up to 3 hopper tickets. If you only sign 1 person in on one day you still use up one of your 6 days. The 2 tickets that you didnt use are not rolled over to another day, they are gone.
Ohhh.. oh. Hmm I don't find that very friendly I prefer the idea of 18 1day passes... Never mind, can't complain I suppose Thanks
hum.... i think we will just have to organise for family and friends to visit at the same time!!!didnt realise that about buying the tickets at home though! im going to disneyworld paris with loads of family in march, i wonder does it work the same way for getting tickets cheaper?? it would be great if it does!
The discounts whilst on the ICP are pretty great. The maingate is pretty awesome. You get that like right away, on your second day there. The water park discount is valid after 2pm and you can get in for about $20. I think there's some blackout time, but I'm not sure. The food discount is 20% off all sit down restaurants, but yes you do have to pay the 18% gratuity. Because they've added two full services places at AK there's no longer any quick service discounts. If you want to eat cheap in the parks consider children's meals which are a pretty good deal. Season's food court has some great kids meals. The food discount usually becomes invalid during the end of summer when Disney does its dining program promotion. U can get a discount at Earl Of Sandwhich in DTD which is the best place ever. The merch discount is also great, 20% is pretty good. I usually come home with oodles of stuff. Never forget Cast Connection though, it's a god send. Giant store for cast members with merch from all the parks at a way discounted price. Also there is property control where they sell off any merch that isn't show quality. Sometimes u can get fantastic deals there. I got some of those mini pix cameras for 5 bucks each, they were 20 in the parks. I also got some super cheap shirts that were only wrinkled. The resort discount is pretty awesome too. If you book as soon as you get there you can get ur family a really great deal on hotels. Up to 50% off if you stay with them. For buying extra passes you get a 10% discount at company D, but u might find cheaper outlets. Likely you will find cheaper outlets.
I was lead to believe it was 18 1 day hopper passes, but a maximum of 3 people could use them pair day, but didn't use them all up so im nt sure!
18 1 day hopper passes would be awesome. Essentially what u get though is 6 1 day hopper passes that can be shared by up to three people. So if you let one person into the park on one day, then you've only got 5 days left in which you can let people in.
