There is a page on this site with a huge packing checklist. Not on the forum, on the main site. Youl find it on the menu at the left.

Yeah the checklist is very helpful :)

Anything you dont have room to bring though that's ok, there's a walmart nearby and some other stores that you can pick up anything you forgot or weren't able to have room to pack!

You can grab stuff like bedding from Wal Mart once you arrive. Don't bring too many clothes because once you properly start work, your in a costume for most of the time. Don't worry about brining a suit for Traditions. It's too hot and not really needed anyway. Shirt and Trousers will be fine

Another tip is that you can buy stuff you need when you're there and it doubles as a souvenir. For example I have a mickey mouse alarm clock now and a blanket that says "Florida". I've been back home for almost 2 years now, and I still use them every day and smile when I remember.

That's really nice and a good idea :)

Yeah I totally agree that's a great idea! There's only so much you can fit into your suitcases, so bring clothes and essentials and everything else you can scoop up! You're there for a year remember ;D

I know I'm ahead of myself, not having a place yet, but how much are we allowed to take in terms of luggage? Is it weight restricted or number of cases or both?

I think that it depends who you fly with.

Can someone please tell me how many days we have to wear formal clothes for? I found out the answer but I've already forgotten ;D

you need formal wear for traditions, and maybe your morning tour of Epcot, but other than that I cant think of much, bring enough for the first few days... after that the thing you'll be wearing most is your costume :)

    Hey,

For formal clothes, if you are in F&B you will also have to go back to Disney University to do training courses and need formal attire, but that is not for a while after you are done with the first part of training.

Also, if you can, I was able to vacuum pack my comforter and pillow and bring it with me in one of my suitcases so I didn't have to buy a new one. Depending on the weight restrictions with your airline, sometimes it is better to bring what you need then to buy it all new while other times the cost is the same if you over pack.

    Hope this helps!

I might vaccum pack my duvet as they don't appear to sell duvets in America (crazy! ;D)

  16. I never bought a duvet over for the icp. It was roastin in the apartments even with the ac on. I know it get's cooler in the 'winter' but even then I know people who brought them over but didn't use them cos it was too hot for them. I'll just buy myself a new comforter from wallmart. They're really nice and do as throws back home.

Its for comfort as much as anything else!! But I guess I'll see how much space is in my suitcase after my shoe and bag collections, and my many photographs ;D

Digital photographs = less space. :D And there must be printing places in Florida if you really need actual copies.
