Hey does anyone know what kind we have to wear during our orientation like dress clothes, business ect....... And how many days we have to wear it for cuz i am having a heck of a time trying to get all my stuff in suitcases and if i dont have to take much business wear it would be alot easier. The look book only says so much so thanks anyone who can help me out.
You need Buisness attire for: Traditions (1 day) Your theme park/water park/resort/work area orientation (1 day) Any other classes at the disney university (for example merchandise register training)
How business are we looking? Full suites or Can it be just dress slacks and shirt? Ties??? Crap I didnt' even think abou ties.
erm i wouldn't suggest a suit... maybe a shirt and tie and black trousers do remember your in Florida and you have to wear it most of the day, and when walking around the parks it can get quite hot. i wouldnt say you need alot
i took a tie and i ont think i wore it on my 1st program but i did on my 2nd. on my orientation days i just wore black trousers, shoes and a shirt, no tie.
for girls just make sure you have tops that are long enough to cover your underarm. it doesn't have to be too dressy or business like and you don't have to wear a jacket or anything. just stay away from sweats, denim, bare legs, open toed shoes, and big earrings and you should be fine.
Thanx that helps sooooo much now i have much more space in my suitcases!!! By this time next week well all be on our way to Disney!!!
im just going to wear black trousers, black shoes and smart polo shirt (shorts sleaved, cooler but yet smart still) Im sure this will be ok See you all there Does anyone know.............. on days were not working are we allowed to wear clothes to the park that show our tattos??
if you want to save room have you considerred using those "space bags" (in Aus they are sold at places like Kmart and Target if that means anything to anyone) or simmilar products. They are those bags which claim to "triple" (or some largish number) your storage space. Specifically they make suitcase sized bags, maybe not for your dress lcothes (especially if you need them soon after arrival and a dry clean or extensive trip to the laundry is goign to be difficult) but for other stuff such as bedding and other clothes it could create some valuable room in your luggage, i think all you need to pack them is a standard vaccum.
i know some people on here have used vacuum bags but i advise against using them! If you cases are searched by security (and alot of cases are) then they will need to open the vacuum bags to see whats in them. And obviously once they are open they won't be able to get the stuff back in...
The 'business attire' is quite flexible. You don't have to wear a tie. You can get away with just a pair of trousers and a shirt. If anyone is arriving in the next few weeks it's still quite chilly in Florida during the morning and evenings. I'd advise bringing at least one hoody or something. It's heating up tho so don't pack too many! Ben
I am going at the end of June so in typical FL fashion it will be very hot. As a result I am planning to bring a pair of smart trousers - maybe two 'cos I know what I'm like - and a smart short sleeved blouse. Would I get away with that or am I best bringing a smart jacket as well?
Well everything is packed and i've crossed the border now I just have to wait and see if i'm going ot have to pay over weight charges. LOL. Oh well. If I do I do. Disney Here we come!
hehe, bless, have fun make sure you get the red carpet ready for when I arrive my dear boy hehe hugs x
