OK when packing clothes think of it this way... You are going to need shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, a couple pairs of jeans maybe a sweater or two. It all depends on you! My first contract I brought basically the things that I knew I couldn't live without and I never had a problem at all. Don't forget a bathing suit haha. It's not like you are going on vacation and doing laundry is hard. Basically you are just moving your stuff from one house to another house just in a different country. Don't go crazy tho... trust me you will be most likely buying a lot of clothes. I think I came home with a handful of things I originally brought with me.

you basically need enough clothes to last you a week as you will prob only do washing once a week so if you have enough to last a week plus one or two going out outfits.

You will buy loads out there every oe does

i would also take a couple of extra white / sink tone bra's to wear under your costume as the ones out there have slightly different sizes

    packing maybe:

    4 x shorts
    4 x vests
    2 x pjs
    2 x jeans
    4 x tees
    2 x going out tops / skirts / trousers
    1 x heels
    2x flipflops
    1 x trainers
    2 x hoodies / jumpers
    2 x formal blouses
    1 x formal trousers / smart trousers
    1 x comfy smart shoes
2 x towelsbath / small one - you will buy more out there but you will prob want to shower and stuff when you arrive

If you're going into a service role i wouldn't worry about packing warm clothes.. but if you're not then i would advise bringing a few long sleeve shirts and sweaters. It does get pretty cold there in the winter.. and maybe -2 isn't that cold to you.. but when you're living in 30-40C for nearly a year.. -2 becomes nearly unbearable. haha.. I remember debating bringing warm clothes and decided not too. It was lucky i visited home after six months. I had to stock up on warm clothing for the next 3 months.

This might sound silly but what kind of formal shoes are people taking? I didn't know whether to take like flat dolly shoes or low heels :S any advice would be great! Also shoes for work, I'm in UK F&B do I buy these out in Orlando? Or before I go? x

Bring ONE outfit for every occasion (mostly summer clothes, obviously) but DO NOTTTTTTTT go crazy!! I brought so much crap and "keepsake" stuff, and stuff to furnish with... DONT DO IT!! Lol its a waste of space and you'll be kicking yourself at the end of the year because you accumulate SO much. Plus when people leave the program they get rid of so much stuff you would never even think of... so don't panic!

You're gonna be more excited to go shopping down there cause everything is so damn CHEAP!

Everyone means smart shoes for Traditions, but you do a fair bit of walking on some days, so make sure they're comfortable. I just had black pumps.

You will need shoes for work, but if I were you I'd get them in Orlando. They're soooo picky about them, if you bought them before, you'd probably only have to buy some more anyway. Plus I heard a rumour just before I finished (2 weeks ago) that they're trying to get costuming to provide the shoes as well, so if you're not going out for a while, that might be the case once you get there.

General packingwise, deffinately take some warm clothes, it has been freezing over the winter. Deffs get a denim skirt for summer though...they all look the same, so no one will notice if you wear it all the time and they go with anything lol.

I'd recommend bringing 2 formal tops as you are going to be wandering around and in it all day for traditions and for your discovery day and if your too buys having fun you prob wont have time to do washing

Sort of a daft question but are they bothered about what colours you wear for traditions and training days....for example, grey smart pants and a coral top or something like that? Or do they prefer you to be in plain black/white or neutral colours?? x

You can wear any colour you'd like!! It's the cut they're worried about not the colour. I wore a bright purple and there were guys in all sorts of dress shirt colours :)
