Just wondering if anyones knows of a good place to get your hair done close to the commons. Not like magic cuts or anything like that...

Also a good place to get a wax ;)

There seems to be some good places in downtown Orlando, but thats a bit far. Id rather find a place closer to WDW. If I have to rent a car to get a decent hair cut though I will.

    Downtown would be pretty far...
The problem about the location of the Commons is that it's in an area that's mainly geared towards tourists. I can't think of any real salons that I've seen in the immediate area, although to be fair I've never gone out looking for one either.
Personally I think if/when I go to get my hair done, I'm going to go to where my friend lives in Hunter's Creek. It's like 7 miles from the Commons area, and is a residential area near the cross of John Young Pkwy and Osceola Pkway. Most of the people in Hunter's Creek do quite well for themselves so I'm guessing they have a little more than a Cutting Coral or Magicuts lol
It just came to me as I was writing as well you can check out what they have in Celebration. They're bound to have a salon in their little fabricated Utopia.

hey i got mine done at kingdom cutters this past year, which is in the tunnels of MK and I was really happy with it! It is super cheap, done by this woman who worked in a hair salon in new york city for like 20 years. A cut and a dye was only like 30 bucks and it was better than my much more expensive salon here in canada! She also waxed my brows for me, not sure about other waxing though...

On-site? That's as handy as you can get lol
There's always the Barber Shop on Main Street USA ;) 17 bucks a cut. 5 bucks extra for coloured hair gel and Mickey sprinkles ;D
    And, thanks to allears.net:

I used to go to the one backstage at MK...the woman was really good! She was one of the hairdressers at the Grand Floridian so I can imagine she was amazing at most things! Plus, back then in 2006, eyebrow waxes cost like $10.

$10?! thats pretty good is it not? i pay more than £10 for my eyebrows over here! im sure that the price will have gone up a little, but if not it might well become a regular occurance for me :)
