Once the interview is over, what is the process?

I have basically been offered an interview for the 11th June in Hammersmith for the Cultural Representative Program (which i've jumped at). In the email I was told that it is short notice and if successful it would be for dates leaving in July.

I don't mind short notice at all and would jump at the chance of going to disney but being in a full time job i got my notice to think of!!

Here's my few questions: How long after the interview are you told if your successful or not? Assuming I am successful how long does it take to apply for visa's and get the checks done etc??

Basically is it possible I could be leaving in July (if I pass the interview, fingers crossed) or is it more likely to be August time??

    Any info would be appreciated!!!!

I was told that the interviews are for positions from July onwards. For me that would be too short notice so im hoping there is something around september time. Also I think some people are having problems getting Visas through for June departures so I can't see them being able to sort it out that quickly for July if the interviews are in June?!?!?

It's Disney, they can make anything happen :p And if they need people from July, you might get to know already on the interview day, or very soon after. Because there's still the visa and everything to sort out! I was on an interview in the end of march and they asked me if I was able to go in april already, so they have a way to fix it. When you go on so short notice, it's because they really need people and you're taking over someone else's visa.

Thanks for the replys. Silly question, but if I am taking over someone elses visa, does this mean I won't get the whole 12 month? or does it just mean I will be using someone elses visa place?

I don't want to be at a disadvantage by leaving sooner but not getting the full experience. Does the Visa usually last 12 months or is it a little bit longer?

    Thanks again!

The visa is usually for 13 months, so you can extend your contract or travel when you're finished ;) It shouldn't make a difference on how long you get to stay, it's just a technicality...

I'm quite sure if you take over someone elses visa you're just there for the remainder of months they had left. The visa lasts at least 12 months, but of course it depends on when the person leaves as to how much you have left!

I would be rather upset if I managed to pass the interview and only offered 8 months for example!!

We shall have to see, but if anyone does know what happens in this situation it would be appreciate. :)

So excited about the interview hehe!!

Thank you for all your help

Visas are non transferable¡¡¡¡ so you basicly get a new one for you and you get to work a full year. When they do this is noramally because a lot of people did not accept any previous job offers or they terminated a lot of people throughout the year¡¡¡
