Hey Ona (or anyone that can help) You seem to know alot about the 1 year program as well as the cruise ship!! I will be leaving next month for the one year program and i really really want to go on the cruise ship right after, what do I need to do? and what are the chances of having a job lined up after the one year on the cruise ship????? Sorry about all the questions.. Oh I have one more, what do they look for, for the cruise staff???? Thanks a million!!!!
Hiya! Being down there on the int. program is the best way to get on the cruiseline (IMO). They usually come around recruiting for DCL about twice a year (I think, it used to be anyway). There will be posters at the Commons and info on the portal and your managers will probably let you know about it. Don't worry, you won't be able to miss it. Interview then and they'll let you know whether you have a job or not. As I understand it though, you will still have to go home to get your visa etc. sorted and there might not be a job right away (i've been accepted but waiting for a spot to open up for almost 6 months now). This seems to be the best way to get through the DCL recruitment process (which can be a nightmare elsewhere : ). Being down there is def. an advantage. They look for the same as for the IP. Disney-esque people. ;D Also, however 2 years relevant experience for which ever position your are applying for. That is far more an issue than it is for the the WDWIP. Hope that helps, :-\ ;D Ona x
U didn't get in??? What position did u apply for and did they tell u why u are not choosen?? Hmm... You are going to start the CP in a couple of weeks, right? After you finished it you can try it again... Dani
