What are you Ontario/Canada kids doing about OHIP? Do we have to inform them that we are leaving the country for a year? And what are you doing for insurance? I'm just so confused! Cheers, Mallory
You have to go to the OHIP/government offices because i think after like 8 months it expires. You just have to go there to get an extension on it. Also, for insurance I checked the site that came listed in the Disney package and that seems pretty reasonable, I mean you only have to get it for 4 months. Otherwise, if your still at living at home your parents insurance may cover you for a certain period and you can just pay the difference. Hope this helps, Brad
I never did anything with my OHIP and I was fine when I came home. Never knew we had to do anything. Shan
yeah same here. i just got travel insurance for 3 months or so then you sign up for it 3 months into your contract
I had 4 months of insurance because it has to cover you until the END of the month following your three month anniversary. I arrived Aug. 6th, so my 3 month was Nov. 6, so I had to be covered until the end of November and my benefits started Dec. 1. Get it? Shan
