Hey All, hope everyone is well. I am currently 17, and will be applying with the hope of attending the interviews in November, by which point i will be 18 (actually 18 in october). I understand that the approaching interviews are taking place at the very end of february/very beginning of march, and after they are complete the applications recieved at Yummy will be carried onto the November interviews. I contacted jason and he said that, as we all know, you need to be 18 for the face to face interview, and suggested that i apply in September. Would it be easier, and less work fro Yummy if i sent my CV off to them around April time? I am just wondering if it makes any difference applying in September...just seems more sensible to get everything off to them earlier, to take some weight off the 'rush' they will get of applications closer to November. Thanks all, James.
Im not sure James, but i guess the earliest its off the sooner u can get the phone interview out the way. I applied in sept but i think Sara applied in April. I doubt theyd refuse ur application even if its too early theyd keep it on file. Go for it! Good Luck! Marie xxx
Hi, Im currently 17 as well. I turn 18 in June. Ihope they keep applications on file as i am planning on sending my cv off at the start of March. They probably won't get back to me for a while after that though as there are a couple of groups leaving in March and June but they do usually reply to all applications don't they? So I guess, whenever we apply they will get to us sooner or later! weird way of thinking i know, but thats me! But, hope to see you in November if we both get through to face to face! Sarah
Hey Sarah ;D Yeah i hope we both get through!!! You dont actually live that far away from me, im in Newport south wales. It's still quite a distance, but not far in comparison. We would both be heading in the same direction for the interview. I will contact jason and ask about the application, would be nice if i could get it sent off sometime soon. J.
Hi James I e-mailed yummy in like June of last year (i wanted to go summer coming up) and he said i should send my cv to them in october - i was then given a phone interview the week after i sent it away and had my face to face 2 weeks later! I would suggest u send it to them end sept / october. Jo xx
hi james well i contacted yummy around this time last year as i was put in contact through uni, and was told i couldn't apply until september *from uni that is*, so contacted jason and he told me the application process for the november interviews to go out the followin march-june, they start their interviewing process beginning of june and requested i sent mine 1st april, no sooner than that as they ignore and tell u reapplication dates. so i would send it on 30th/31st march to reach them for beginning of april as you'll be top of the pile! so uve got time to jazz your cv up etc etc. but defo get it sent then don't leave it until sept get in there asap hope that helps xxx
