Anybody else just realised that the interviews are in a week?

Anybody else just read the November 9th interviewes messages? and thoght OMG thats going to be me in a week?

Anybody else still not booked a hotel room? or train tickets?

Anybody else think that they are going to get lost?

Anybody else starting to really panic? or get really nervous? or are they same thing?

If i'm like this now god knows what i'm going to be like next thurday or friday. Also if anyone would like to get in touch with me they can do so via my email (which should be around here somewhere) or ask for my mobile number.

Anyway im going away to panic some more

p.s What do your parents and faimly think of you doing this. My mums behind me 110% but my dads not sure. The rest of my family (the ones that know) keep telling me that i'll do fine ect.

Hey Mhairi, do you fancy meeting up for a chat at uni? Im so excited about Friday too. I decided only to tell my family and 1 friend, so it wouldn't be too bad if I didn't get through. But my mum and sisters have been going mad at me for CONSTANTLY talking about it! I need someone new to harrass! JK x

DON'T be nervous! Or, if you'd prefer, be nervous, but on the day, be excited. I found it hard to be nervous at all on the day though. Think of it as the first day of your new job at Disney! :D Everyone'll be nice, you'll have a blast at the presentation, don't be afraid to be outgoing and go and sit with a group in the morning before it starts.

As for getting lost, find your destination's website and see if it has a "how to find us" page or some such. Chances are you won't get lost at all! Heck, it takes a special, super-intelligent sort of person to want to apply to become a cast member, so if you're reading this, then I'm sure you'll be fine! ;)

Seriously though, try not to panic. Take deep breaths (breathe in air, breathe out stress), think happy thoughts (like what you might be doing next summer or whatnot!), and just enjoy it!

Oh, and you have it better than me... My mum, while supportive, hasn't seemed hugely gone on the idea, and my dad doesn't seem enthusiastic at all. It hasn't been easy to stay enthuasiastic (the night before, I was having thoughts of "just drop out, it'll be easier!" but I'm really glad I went now!) but if you've got any way of being excited about the whole thing, you're in good stead!

    Good luck next week!!!

    Thanks KC

I think its a nervous kind of excitement. I've had this feeling before though i didnt have time to let it manifest into something more. When i had it before it was when i did a abseil down a very tall building with about 3 hours notice.

I think it'll be a good idea to get all my nerves out of the way before next friday.

Oh and you dont know me - i've got a great chance of getting lost ::) . Actually i've got more chance of being late, i slept in this morning til 12 mid day. Thankfully i didnt have any lectures that i could have missed but i think that problem is solved by getting the hotel to give me a wake up call.

Anyway been reading your thread and the interviews seemed to have gone well. Did they say when they'd let you know if you got the job? Also what time was the last interview? I have to get a train back down to Edinburgh cause i'm staying at my uncles to babysit for him the next day and i cant be too late home.

How do you get rid of nerves? I'm tempted to go for a run but its dark and wet outside so i think i'll pass on that idea.

We were told that we should know mid december either way.

I think the last interview wasnt that late. Cant exactly remember the time, but my gut feeling is that it was before 5 anyway...

As for getting rid of nerves, I like the ol' "think happy thoughts" (i.e. go take a mental stroll around the magic kingdom :p) or my friend's method: "Breathe in air, breathe out stress" (in through the nose, mentally put all your stress in the air in your lungs and breathe out through the mouth). They work for me! :D

    I'm sure everyone'll be fine though ;)

    Hey Guys

Its really strange that there are two sets of interviews taking place on the 18th - one in Scotland and one in Canada (least i think its Canada, correct me if i'm wrong).

I'm all excited now, seem to be going through all these different emotions.

Just booking my hotel room and train/bus. Theres a bus leaving Aberdeen at 17.35, do you think i'll be able to get on that one back to Edinburgh?

Has anyone booked a hotel for Thursday night? I was hoping someone could help me out and give me the name of a cheap hotel near to the uni.

    Hey Guys

Its Monday!!! Hows everyone holding up?

I'm going to be wear a white shirt, black trousers (wish i'd brought my skirt), flat shoes and a black jumper. People have mentioned wearing some colour but i think i'd suit wearing a different coloured shirt, plus i dont have one so that ideas out.

I've still not booked my hotel or travel arrangements. My uncle knows someone up in Aberdeen near where the uni is so he's going to call him sometime today and ask what (cheap) hotels are in the area. When i did a search i came up with the Travel Inn (i think) but that was still about £50 for the night.

What are you guys taking to the interview? apart from all the stuff we've got to take like our passports, birth certs and of course ourselfs lol. I've got a small bag plus my record of achivement (something i was given when i left school, has letters and certificates in it, all the stuff i did at school plus my ucas form as my recommendation part by the teachers i had is really nice).

Anybody fancy meeting up the morning before?

    Mhairi
