Hi all Haven't been on here since last year, have had to register with new name because couldn't remember old log in details, anyway, have my face to face interview in November and was wondering who else I can expect to see, wouldn't mind a friendly face before I arrive. Also, has anyone got any advice on what the day will include, I've been told to expect to be there all day and dress in business attire. Another pointer, is the Disney office fairily easy to recognise when you get in that area? Work for a london company and never been there other than to see santa at Selfridges Good luck to anyone having the phone interviews, I remember being so nervous just waiting for that call and then when it happened I couldn't actually remember anything that had been said, I had to get my dad to relay everything back to me once I came off the phone with Alexis. Lou xxx 12th November, here I come!!!!!
Hey Lou! Great to have another interviewee to chat with! Just about to book my train and hotel room, didnt ever think i would see this day becoming a reality! J xx
The interview is an all day thing. You have a presentation first thing where they go through the programme and what you should expect etc. Then a quiz thing where you can win prizes- nothing to worry about but make sure you put your hand up and look keen as we think they were judging us from then! then the interviews will start-think the first one was about 11am?? they go on all day-well mine was at 3:30pm and depends where you have travelled from as to when you have your interview. as for disney hq, its the biggest building in hammersmith- you can see it from the novotel and its part of the Broadway Shopping Centre! dont worry just look for lots of others wandering around gripping onto the envelope from yummy! good luck Sarah x
@ Sarah thanks for the advice @ Lou hey its great to see somebody else appear who will be interviewing with us. as far as i know we are planning to meet up the night before and go for a meal at TGI's. we may even do something fun during the day on Friday too ;D i will PM you my number so we can txt each other to arrange details nearer the time YIPPEE I CANT WAIT
I just want to wish all you November 12ths the best of luck..... I know I will forget nearer the time
Cheers everyone, especially the tips for the interview, better swot up a little more on my disney knowledge, glad to see the trivia chains are still going - used to love reading them but never managed to answer in time. It would be nice to meet up with people the night before although I'm not sure what time I'll be getting into London, live in Heysham (between Blackpool and the Lake District) and don't finish work until 4pm so won't be getting into London until about 9ish. So for those who are going where is everyone from? Lou xxx
Well i'm from Newport in sunny South Wales (Sheep!). Just booked my train ticket, im going to be getting into london at about 10:45 am...what time are the rest of you planning on arriving? J xx
I cant believe they are interviewing you guys on a Saturday! My interview was on a Monday and I had to Travel down to London on a very overcrowded Virgin Train If I remember rightly there's a few Wetherspoons pubs in the area if you get stuck for somewhere to go whilst your waiting for your interviews
Lou I am from Lincolnshire (in between Yorkshire and East Anglia) James I am just about to look at train times now and will aim to get down as soon as possible so we can have a fun day of sight seeing, maybe spending an hour or two in a disney store!!!!!! I’m really torn now about whether to stay at my mates in Hammersmith or pay for a room at the Novotel so I would be as close to u all as poss and maybe ease my nerves a little – yeah right! :-\ Anybody up for sharing a room?
If anyone wants to take the other bed in my room they are more than welcome....my parents paid for the room so someone can take it for free.....although the breakfast was only booked for 1 person. J xx
I feel left out now, I'm probably gonna try and get a hotel through work but it will have to be in Earls Court because we don't have any in Hammersmith Definately up for meeting for a few drinks either the night before or 5 minutes after the interviews, is it too early to have a drink at 8am to calm your nerves? Only joking, don't imagine I'd be able to have anything that morning. Lou xxx P.S. gonna book train tickets today.
James I would share with you but I would certainly give your parents some money towards it, but would the hotel let us do that???
I am not sure...dont stay in hotels often, can anyone shed any light on this?? Must be a way around the system! lol J xx
hey hey guys.. of course you can do that..you paid for room...so you are able to..mainly hotels..dont like you going overboad with inviting people in...its mainly guest houses that have a rule against overnight guests......if there is two beds in room..then will be fine. but just wont get breakfeast thats all the hotel..is big?right?...how will they know any who......lol...just walk past the reception.. no one ever asks questions.... hope help little.... Nat x ;D
Hi all, Just want to wish everyone good luck for their Nov 12th interviews. I recieved the email about it from Alexis and then went into panic mode fretting that I still had to go in November (as I'm not mentally prepared for something so soon ), but after emailing her recieved a lovely and very apologetic email from her saying that she had yet to update her list. So GOOD LUCK everyone!! Will look forward to hearing all your comments on the day and then getting excited about the March interviews. Kirsty

Hi everyone.....I take it that like myself everyone is totally excited and bricking it about the November 12th interviews.....Has anyone got any clues as to where the best place to stay may be.... Lanx
Hey, I know some of us are staying at the Hameersmith Novotel which is close to the disney offices but is quite pricey, try www.avaweb.com and you should be able to get a room for £79. A group of us are planning to meet up the night before and go for a meal at TGIs and you are more than welcome to join us, should be fun P.S. I have PM'd you my number
