What do you think are the chances? I read somewhere (might've been here) that there's 10 applicants for every one position, so this seems like alot of people to be unaccepted!!
It all depends on which program you are applying for really... they are all different. The CRP accepts less people that the ICP as they dont need so many people where as with the ICP summer prog... at least 300 people get accepted.
well when I applied for this summer at our interviews we were told that there were 400 places going and around 500 ish that got through to the final interview with disney.
I think its for the summer ICP that there are a couple of hundred places. For the CRP they only need a small number of people. I varies on what country but i think for the UK its like 70 people a year?!
Didn't have one lol, I just wanted to find out about numbers and how likely it is (on average or in statistics) that a person will be accepted lol, I'm not even 18 yet ahaaa.
I guess they don't need as many of us because there's no attractions in the UK pavillion. There should be though. At least give us the liberty of having a carosel!!!
norway as an attraction, a popular resturant and a huge shop, england has a small resturant and a some shops no where near the same size as norway
I heard that Canada is one of the biggest pavillions. Is that true? That's where I'm from so I hope it is cuz I guess the bigger the pavillion the more jobs therefore more ppl get accepted??
This last one from Canada was tough. Very few people made it in on the first round. They sent out an e-mail and I think I knew 4 or 5 people who actually got that first e-mail everyone else was on the waiting list and then got a call. I was told if you can, apply for Food and Bevrage. As they take the most people for that area. But I hear it is super busy, one of the most popular places to eat there. But if you apply for that as your first choice you might have a better chance for most countries. (Of course only do it if your ok getting the position. I did not care, I was interested in all.)
True enough, I was very lucky to get in on the first round. Though, it took forever for me to hear back
I'm not sure if it matters what your preferences are for your position, as long as you say that you're excited to do any role at Disney. I know that I put attractions first, then F&B, then merch, and they offered me a position in merch... so they will offer you your third choice if the other's aren't available, or if they think you'd be better suited for something else! As it turns out, at least with the attraction in Canada they don't require many CM's to run it. It's the restaurant that requires all the people! So any pavilion with a large restaurant will require lots of Cast Members!
Thanks for the info guys ;D Haha I'm up for anything too but F&B is my first choice anyway> I work as a server right now so I'm used to the busy restaurant industry and pretty much all my past work experience is f&b related so if I get accepted I'm pretty sure that's what I'd get but like I said I'll do anything I'd even work for free I just want to be there haha (well i guess not since I'll have expenses to keep up with but you get my drift lol )
I get what you mean, I would gladly scrub the toilets with a toothbrush if that was my only opportunity of working there
haha me too ;D i kinda wish that you could rotate jobs or something...like f&b one month, merch the next then attractions or something cuz then you could experience different aspects of Disney. But that might be confusing and involve too much training etc. but anyways, i'm going to take what i can get
