nightlife!!!

hiya.....
just wondering if anyone knows what the nightlife is like in Florida or disney???? Im really excited but I do love a good night out and just wondering if anyone has any idea and if they accept english id???

Hi Jeni,

The nightlife is pretty good in Orlando on the right nights. Sundays is the usual night for people to go to House of Blues, in downtown Disney, you get in free and drinks are free until midnight, it's a huge club with a dj who plays mostly dance/hip hop type music. Some nights they have live music and they can get some pretty famous acts. Tuesday is ladies night in a sports bar called Alehouse which is pretty easy to get to, the cast member buses drop you nearby. A lot of CM's go to a club called Roxys on a Thursday which is pretty fun, it's a bit out of the way but there's usual a party bus going from Chatham. Downtown Orlando is pretty good too, loads of bars and clubs to choose from and they all usually have some sort of a drinks deal. Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk resort is amazing, it's a duelling piano bar and it is soo much fun, CMs get in free. I've heard Atlantic Dance hall next to Jellyrolls is good too, but i've never been there. There will be a lot of party's in people's apartments wherever you're living so you will always have somewhere you can go!!

Some places will accept an english drivers license, but everywhere will accept a passport as id so it's usually better to have that just in case.

 

are ther places in downtown disney you can go to just to dance if you're under 21?

 

You can go to House of Blues if you're under 21, that's the only place in downtown Disney though.

A lot of the bars and clubs in Orlando let in people under 21, not sure which ones exactly.

 

oh my god thats alot of places to go hahaha!!! Im so excited!!! so in Disney the nights out are quite good then I gather!!! haha! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I know it should be so good!!!! I just wanted to get everything sorted so I know where to go on a night out!!! Do people drink much and stuff on a night out and do people drink much while their over there???? I mean alchohol obviously hahaha!!!

As far as I know they drink all the time! Every day!

Hasn't been a topic around here now that you mention it, but ciggies will have to wait for the first week til i regularize my paychecks

 

Yeah, there are quite a lot! You can't smoke inside the apartments, so you have to go outside. When you're working there are usually designated smoking areas backstage where you'll find a lot of people! There's no smoking allowed inside restaurants and some other public buildings, some bars allow it, but others don't so it's like the UK where you'll have to go outside to smoke...but unlike the UK, you'll be nice and warm!!

 

oh brilliant!!! haha that sounds really strange!!! Its sort of an illegal subject when your talking about disney hahaha!!! but hey!!! everyone has their faults!!! I was considering buying some from the airport....because I have no idea what ciggies you can buy from over there!!! x

 

It does get pretty strange sometimes. I worked in MK and the smoking area is right where the bus drops you off, at the entrance to the utilidor, near the entertainment wardrobe so you could see some of the strangest sights...think princesses!!

I don't smoke so i have no idea what kind they've got over there sorry!

I've been too the us, not orlando, but I guess it's the same everywhere, and you can find the whole marlboro catalogue, lucky strike and camel, it's all I can remember coz I never looked at what else was out there, I'd go for my marlboro's and that was it, but this website could be sort of helping:

I just didnt know if many people smoked or not ya no not really something people talk about on here not what Ive seen anyways!!!! Everythings very tame on this website!!! Hi there... in the US they have loads of kinds of cigarettes... and of course u can buy malboro!! like me... I smoke.. and I'm glad to hear that some people smoke too!!!

and we are going to have a great nightlife!!

 

It's so funny going to a place and making stops to the entrance just to have a smoke
