Hello everyone, I know this topic has been spoken about many times, but io would like to bring it back up for discussion. Firstly, how is the night life whilst on the program, is it a party ever night thing? Does everybody go out a lot? And finally is the money we earn on the program enough to live on and party with or is excess funds necessary?
I was wondering this too. You can guarantee for me to attend any parties at the commons (and i hear there it a lot of them) Issue i have is that i don't drink alcohol although i certinly don't need it to have a good time
There is ALWAYS something going on, your never stuck with nothing to do. Obviously nobody can really afford to party every night but a lot damn well try their bestest to. I've been quite anti-social for a couple of weeks because i've not had a lot of money and i was tired but this week it's back tp partytime
He he I'm seeing this as a bit of a repeat of my freshers year at uni ... it was messy! He he but of course I will be very careful not to be hungover at work as I have the worst hangovers ever I literally can't move some days! But I'm planning to be doing something most nights, whether its a big night out, a few drinks and a chat at the bar, or movie nights ;D One last year of fun before I really do knuckle down and become a proper grown up!!
im the same...especially about the grown up part, really should be starting to do something even tho id much rather be a real life peter pan (in female form)
I'm really looking forward to the parties, according to my mate there are LOADS! And don't worry, I don't drink either....out of choice, not just becoz i'll be under the legal age in florida! It's more being able to remember what you've done, and the whole of the party i reckon!!! x
i'm considering taking up a new routine of one glass of water for every alcoholic beverage i drink...it worked swimmingly t'other night. might be one to consider to avoid the hangovers in work helen
He he maybe, or maybe could just stick to a coupla drinks! But I guess the glass of water would work, cos hangovers are caused by dehydration aren't they?
I'm trying not to get myself in that kind of situation again as i really do get messed up and tend to end up bed bound for a couple of days after. I'm up for the odd drink but i hope no-one is expecting me to get paralytic
If I'm drinking (very rare that I do) then I'll always stay always half way between sober and drunk. Just very giggly and a bit dizzy. I'm quite annoying really! But sometimes, you just need those messy nights....
ive been going through a bit of a detox recently where ive not been drinking...which ended last night, i think my plan of attack is to match each drink with a glass of water or just stick to a couple, plus lots of shut eye, i need my beauty sleep! xxx
I totally agree Karri, I need my beauty sleep too, otherwise it just gets ugly! I'm all for the opinion that you don't need alcohol to have a good time, but it sure does loosen you up a little! My plan of action is to stay merrily tipsy for the whole year! ;D
i think it depends on company, the place (and its music, clientele etc). and a word of advice: don't go to a small, packed, sweaty bar with lots of drunks in when you're dressed as a monopoly box. trust me.
I will heed your advice, Matt, and only ever go out dressed as a Jenga box from now on. Much more slimline
but sadly much more fragile... (p.s. hel it was yoko's...imagine that place when the dance floor is crowded, then plop a monopoly box in the middle)
