I just found out yesterday that I've been accepted as attractions! So excited! But I have a burning question. Bear with me though because it's a really shallow one!

First: My hair grows super fast. There's no way I can go a year without a haircut. Where do you recommend for haircuts?

Oh I have a second one. I'm going to be in the Canadian pavilion. What kind of shoes should I have? What kinds of shoes are acceptable?

    Thanks everyone!

Whoooo!!!! Canadian Attraction! You get to work with me :) When are you coming down?

Like mousefreak said there are tons of palces to get your hair cut. Some people even cut their own hair/ have a friend do it. Though, be careful with that, because of Disney's strict Disney-look policies.

Buy your boots down here. You can go to Walmart and get some that are terrible, but will generally hold through the year (3 of us got boots from Walmart, and one is even finishing with the pair she got in the beginning lol). I went all out, went to the outlet mall, and bought some waterproof Timberlands that were regular $95. You see, the stores around here love us, so not only was there a discount on them at the time, but I got another 25% for being a castmember so they only cost $40 :) I love my boots and wear them all the time, and waterproofwas the best decision I ever made!

I'll be working in the Canadian Pavillion too, but in merchandise! I think it's safe to assume they won't even allow us to go a year without a haircut. Shaggy is not Disney-cool.

    Hi guys!

I start merchandise in Canada's pavilion in April! I look forward to meeting everyone :)
I heard that almost every hair salon in the area know exactly what the "Disney look" is when you say that's what you want!

The most important thing for your boots is that they're waterproof. During the summer, it rains every single day -- and by rain, I mean sudden downpour out of nowhere complete with thunder usually. Expect it from June to beginning of September everyday around 4. If you're on cart when this happens, you will get wet and probably soaked because guests try to seek refuge while you're trying to close up as quick as possible.

As for haircuts, it's been over a year since I've finished my contract and I still have not cut my hair once since just before I left Canada. There is, however, as everyone else said, many many salons close by. You can even have it done on Disney property if you want to. There are a few places that do it.

My brother used to go to a place near Target on the 192. It's more difficult for men to keep their hair within Disney look, in terms of style, length etc. For women you can just about have any style, as long as the color looks natural. I was told I had to dye my hair (I expected it though - it came out differently than planned) and I know another girl was talked to about her streaks/highlights as well.
