i just checked out the official int programs site n discovered there is a new agenecy handling both Australian and Kiwi applications! just thought i should let people know so they dont email the other mob n wonder why nobody wants to give them information
nope, im emailin my cv this week once i have finished tweaking it i think this new company is also related to STA travel so perhaps better airfare/insurance deals also checkout the site it says Australia and (for the first time) New Zealand "up to 12 months" underneath, even for the summer program! does this mean we can take a gap year and spend it at disney? would we get treated the same as crp/full icp people??? geuss we can find out soon!
How awesome would a whole year be?? Let us know if you find out anything else!!! I'll also be giving my CV a bit of a tweak and sending it in ASAP! ;D
i just sent mine off today i got an auto response from a woman (i assume its woman) called Daniela Odin, it says she is out of the office until the 27th of feb (i.e. TODAY) so i assume she will be the one we deal with.
hey heard back on monday sometime (opened the email monday night) its from a bloke called rodrigo and he sounds pretty friendly in the way he wrote his email, he said (after another email by me clairfying the point to be 110% sure) it was best for me to wait until i have turned 18 to make the process a bit easier but i should still make it this summer if they accept me, so basically i got a bit over a month and a half (cos im 17 turnin 18 end of april) before i can continue with the application........... just what i wanted hope your response was positive, and then u can tell me bout the next few stages
You have to wait til you turn 18? That sucks! Lucky for me I'm well past 18! I'll let you know once I've heard more! ;D

hey everyone i worked at Disney last summer, and really want to do it again as its a great platform for doing more travel, anyway i emailed the same guy your all talking about and he informs me there will be no ICP summer program ( the one that spans from late Nov. until mid Feb) because of a lack of applicants at the moment, which I'm personally devastated about just thought id let you all know Amber xx
I know the same thing was going to happen with the Canadian ICP but a bunch of people created a facebook group and petition and emailed the hiring company and DIsney decided to do ICP interviews again. who knows maybe the same will happen?
fear not people i have recently recieved emails from the main man himself (no not mr m mouse) but there is now 4 intakes per year! august, november, february and may! so therefore there is now more options to pik n choose from i also think fro mreadingthe disney site thatyou can now do it for "up to" ay ear meaning you could do say feb til november or novmber til august - basically meaning you can go for up to a year long working holiday - personalyl i think this would trump any program (i.e. other icp program you have to study while cultural representative program has limited places you can work)
you don't have to study on the ICP program, i didn't nor did anyone else who i was over there with, and the summer program was by far the most practical as it fits perfectly in the university holidays with a few weeks to spare at the end for travel...
apparantly not anymore, in the email it said it was 6, 9 or 12 motnhs with 1 of those months off to travel, you dont have to study but you can't just do it in summer holidays anymore - jsut means you can defer a semester
yeah i know he told me exactly the same thing, but the reason theres not a shorter program anymore is the previous recruiters for aus/NZ participants were meant to get 80 people, they only got 24 and so i think they deemed the 2.5 month program as unpopular and scraped it... sucks so much, but i think I'm going back for 6 months now, and I'm gonna do 2 units by correspondence for uni while I'm there anyone else applied??
