Hey all ,,,,,,,,is it normall to feel this nervous i cant seem to shake it off ,some days im so excited and then i get really nervous i would feel so much better if i knew someone i would be rooming with . does anyone else feel the same . 8)
Hey Hi, Don't worry, I guess we all feel the same... :-[ We don't really know what to expect regarding the job, the roomies, the co-workers and so on. So many things we'll find out once we get there. As far as I'm concerned I'm not really worried about anything yet...I'm more focused on packing which I haven't started yet!! Anyway, all I wish is that I'll get along with my roomies and co-workers. Hey...I'm sure you'll be fine once you get there And yes it's perfectly natural to feel nervous...it would be strange if we didn't. I felt the exact same way when moving to uni and knowing no one and I expect it will be worse knowing you are going away from home and meeting people from different countries. I'm sure everyone there will make you feel really welcome though And if us others get the job we will look to you to make us welcome if we come At least you found these boards and can get to talk about your feeling and get to know people before you go...not everyone is so lucky We all hope you settle in fine xKx
I know!!!! I'm nervous and it's so soon!!! Saw one fo my close friends and her family for the last time for a year tonight It's so sad And I saw my boyfriend for the last time till May last week Even more sad. But hey we're going to Disney!!! Can't be sad for long
hehe....that's the spirit!!!! soooo hoping that soon I can say that too I'm just nervous bout the F2F at the moment, but I know I'll be a wash with various emotion if I were going like you guys!! Must be sad saying goodbye....but then think of the reunion xKx
yeah, I've been going through the various stages of emotion. For the first 3 weeks after I got "the call" I was just insanely excited. But about 10 days ago I got SOOOOOoooo depressed about leaving for a whole year. Missing my Nephew turning 3 and missing christmas with my family. That only lasted about 4 or 5 days though, now I am into OBSESSIVE planning mode! If I wake up in the night I check airfares haha.
I know whatyou mean tessa i had like am onth of over the top excitment and the closer it gets ther more you REALLY think about itbut hey we have fello cm's and roomies to cheer us up and we can always go to the theme parks!!!

Well everyone, its 26 days and counting until I will be arriving in the Orlando Airport!!!! I can put my Mickey stickers on and wait for my ride to the Commons! HOORAY Ask anyone, or read my previous posts, I am soo nervous, I could throw up! I know its going to be great when I get there and People are going ot be very welcoming...but its still the unsettling feeling of being away from my MOM and the rest of my friends! I am glad I know a few people just from speaking on this site, but we are all going to feel a little unsettled for the first little while, I just hope its all its cracked up to be when it comes to NOT BEING HOMESICK! I just hope my nerves dont get the best of me, and want to go home... NOOOOOOOOOOOO I wont do it..... This is the chance of a LIFETIME ;D

oh yeah cuz you're international.........that sucks! 20KG is NOTHING!!! I think in canada most flights give us 50-70lbs (not sure what that is in KG, maybe it's the same?)
Don't worry about the bag weight! 20-kg per bag isn't bag... Try using a big, 60-litre backpack. The problem with suitcases is that the actual frame often weighs so much! And honestly, don't stuff your bags. You will want to take all the stuff you buy over here home with you after your year is over! ~ Jen
I bought my ticket today with Alaska Airlines but I'm flying from Seattle Washington so it's a domestic flight but we get 2 suitcases with 50lbs per bag. I think that'll be okay........I hope! I'm SUCH an overpacker!
Tee hee Ive fixed the problem with getting all the stuff I buy home. My mum and my brother are coming out at Christmas, and won't be leaving till after I finish working at Disney. They're going with Virgin Atlantic and are allowed 2 suitcases each. WELL seeing as they'll only be using one for themselves, that means they can carry 3 for me avec all ones stuff. I may have to cram all my stuff into the suitcase on the way out haha. All those clothes and shoes I've got. I'm planning on buying two ballgowns ;D so they'll have to go home too!
