just out of curiosity, do character performers still get nametags? cuz I wanna disney nametag, even though no one will really see it if I'm in a big furry costume... And at the end of the summer/program, do we get to keep the nametags as a souvenir?? or do we have to give them back?
yeah you'll still have a nametag I'm fairly sure, because you'll still so a park "discovery day" and you need a nametag for that.
I think you might get one too... Because I think character performers sometimes does other jobs too. Often they have more character people on job in case something happens and then they might be required to do something else if they're not needed as a character.
You definatly get a name tag. A lot of people pick up extra shifts, such as PAC or wristband distribution. You will need your name tag for that if you decide to pick up shifts. And you get to keep them at the end of your program!
I think I had about 5 nametags too! Because they just could not get where I lived right! lol Then they kept putting my first AND middle name on it a bunch of times.
Haha, yeah stuff like that happened to me too. Except they mixed up my hometown, suddenly like when I had a month left I got a nametag with the right hometown on it And then they mixed up what languages I speak too. And sometimes they just gave us new ones without a good reason for it
I heard if you come on the ICP they put your uni town on your tag? Also, i live in the middle of nowhere, if they put your home-hometown would they write that on? Thanks!
I think it depends on how long your uni name is! I go to the University of Gloucestershire, and there was no way that was fitting on a nametag, even if you changed it to Univ. of Gloucestershire. Univ. of Glos wouldn't have made any sense to anyone! So I just had my hometown on it. No one knew where that was either.
iv never seen any ICPs name tags with their university name on, but most of the american cps have theri universitys on.
It depends on your program. Most ICPs don't, but on our program we were really classed as US CP's (we had to take disney classes and all that shizz) and we were given the option.
My favourite part of the name tags it the fact that you HAVE to be wearing one, even if you forget it. Last year when I was up visiting I was trying to find a friends brother whom I never met and I was walking around reading the name tags and none of them said when I lived. So I asked one of the girls if someone was working here from my home town and they directed me to him. He just had someone else's name tag on because he had misplaced his. It was a "Loaner"
So at the F2F when we filled out the "nametag" spot, I could have peed my pants. I'm pretty sure that made it just that much more real for me. I'm so excited.
